Wow. Yes, maybe overkill but it’s still fascinating to see. You guys are the only ones doing amazing patterning videos like this. FWIW, I was looking at my boxes of apex the other day and it recommends you don’t constrict past .660
Love your research as it saves me a lot of money in exploring what is truly over kill and what might be considered wasting game meat. A 50 cal. Would leave more edible bird. This technology in tungsten finds its reality in the 410, 28 & 20 gauges. The quest for the smallest tightest load to the birds head is what it's all about. Great job and keep the Blue Collar laboratory rolling!
I have found the threshold of overkill myself with tss. Agree 100% with what u say. Too much of a good thing. Precisely why i've gone back to my longbeard XR and Jebs .650 I can kill em and not have to spend an hour digging those tiny pellets out of the breast meat. Great video guys!
I think it’s another prime example of I hate shooting in lead sleds & tighter constriction doesn’t always yield tighter patterns that .665 was 👌🏽 You’re gonna dig my penetration test I got planned with this load vs it’s lead “equivalent”
An idea for you, cut out a Silhouette/cutout/stencil of the target ( duck, goose, turkey) so if the shot pulls you can overlay the stencil on the core of the pattern .. keep up the good work
I realize that, but my point is that you actually have to put the pattern on the target. A killer pattern that just edges a target is actually a crappy pattern. A more precise sighting setup would help avoid embarrassing misses on camera.
What is really cool (and interesting physics wise) is that at 5:30 you can see the pattern shoot low to high as the shot string hit the target. Like the recoil in the gun is affecting the pattern as it leaves the muzzle. In theory, a shorter barrel gun would shoot lower POI. I'm probably wrong......
No sir it’s not Jebs don’t look anything like that rectifire natural finish, these are a polished finish Jebs have a more rough finish which is far less shiny With that said the rectifire chokes I got were before they were finished up so we could get em on the channel asap
2 1/4 oz. 3" at 1190 fps is about max, and what performs great in my 870. well more than I wish to pull the trigger on, but it shoots great... What does an extra 1/4 oz. get you besides a harder kick?
I bought a stoeger m3500 last year and used it all last year. Killed more ducks and geese last year than I ever have in total. I also started really hunting 3 years ago. So not been hunting a lot but I’ve killed at least over a hundred
I just purchased a Rectifire tube for my gun but haven’t patterned it yet. They are made in the county next to mine in South Carolina. We went in person and purchased several choke tubes. They treated us like we were family. If it shoots as good as there public relations it will be great.
All the inertia guns are pretty much benelli clones. Except for the impala and the A5. I know the A5 uses the same inertia system but it looks different and uses a different barrel. The impala uses a invector plus type barrel.
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA yessir I’ll be waiting, and I commented as watching the video before you said you were going to do exactly what I commented so yeah at least we both though it was a necessary idea😂😂

I won’t be doing that lol we’ve shot 10’s in the gel already shooting this in the gel would be a days work of removing shot with the 10’s having the same penetration as in the other tests we’ve already done
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA hope your guys turkey sound off better than ours have this season. Gobble their heads off on the limb but quiet as a navy seal on the ground.

I hear ya! It’s one benefit of only being able to shoot 8’s and bigger in my state less tss 🤣🤣
That’s pretty crazy out of Moose’s weapon for sure! Of course I’d be interested in FPS and down range Energy! Awesome load and another great test!!!
I think it’s another prime example of I hate shooting in lead sleds & tighter constriction doesn’t always yield tighter patterns that .665 was 👌🏽

Saying over kills, like saying to much horse power or to much money!
Touché but this is the most insane load I have ever seen 🤣🤣
That sounds awesome I can’t wait!!!
Same man just need that weather right 🤙🏽
I’ll stick to my smalltown blend, but I ain’t gonna lie that pattern is absolutely insane lmao😂
Agreed 🤣🤣 it HAD to be patterned ahahaha
Heck yeah. That'll work in Kentucky!
100%!
I wish somebody would talk about me like ole Moose does about that Stoeger 3500 lol
Great vid per usual and what a crazy load !!

Honestly it’s probably just the shot expanding but I’ll have to watch it back I’m out scouting now
@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA after further review I think that the camera is picking up the shot just before impact.

Now that was funny! Great job on this one. Talk about a 100 yard skeet load.
Can you get that in a 10 ga. ?
I’m unsure maybe you can?
TSS does not like to be over-choked. Exactly what you saw, blown pattern. Have a good one.
10’s does that’s why we tested with varying constrictions
Every load is different in each gun but for the most part we agree with your statement
I like this battle of the budget guns!

Boy that will getter done there 👍🏻🔥

isn't that shiny nonsense you mentioned on the choke finish how Jeb's choke tubes come tho also lol?

7/8 oz tss 3” from a 410 is more than enough. What does the extra 1 3/8 oz get you besides a much much much harder kick?

I’ve been impressed with the .560 & the .663
That's fucking crazy! Also proof why I wouldn't use TSS out of a 12 gauge. Would you like to eat some turkey with your TSS?
One guy said his Girsan recoil was worse than his 835 with 3 1/2s. I will say mine is very comparable
I’ll have to test that idk anything that kicked like my ol 835

Holy sh*t! 😳

Who the lucky one that going to shoot that, lol oh my shoulder saying not me. 10 shoot gee

Stoeger is NOT Benelli! Benelli owns them but made in different countries with different components! Love the patterning series!!
