Public Lands-- that is all I hunt. when I was in a few Gun Clubs- their leased lands- were even more crowded! I try to get back a good 1 1/4 miles. Good video this!!
I hunt 3 State Parks in New Jersey and 2 State Land areas in New York. I have a kind of secret area as well. At least I think it is. Took a Tom there with 11/2 Spurs 2 Springs ago.
I'm first timer for turkey hunting by myself and hunting on one public land. I've had my luck with finding the high points on a small open area surrounded by woods which open up to tall grass shortly
Care to share a general area? Do you know anything near Kaysville? Ive been trying to get my 12 year old on a bird near Payson. It gets hammered and boy is it an early morning to drive down there to get in at first light.

Bill Schmidt: I agree. I would rather take the money I would spend on a hunting lease with other hunters and use it to take a DIY hunt out of state.
I know what you mean.
New hunter here. Thanks for the tips
Again man I appreciate you taking the time
Good tip. Is there anyway you could do a turkey vest gear you carry video?
