These kids got a future. Lead singer need to work on her vocals, she sounds a bit flat. And not meant as a dis, they're young. They got plenty of time. Overall sounded great and get a thumbs up. But Papas vocals have more emotion, musically, great cover. Vocally, needs some work. Not a lot, just some more inflection.

I find her vocal rendition to be better than Ghost's on this song. She gave it a punk vibe, which I'm very much enjoying.
The change of the placement of the lyrics has me disappointed, though.
I think she is running a bit short on energy, she sounds almost uninterested to me.

I completely disagree. If you listen without the video you might get a different vibe. I think she might be somewhat camera shy and her demeanor is getting in the way of her vocals for you. The disinterest, I think, comes from the presence of the camera, and the video.
I agree with Ari and Lance I'm not even sure how you got a punk vibe from her vocals. But I did think about the fact that she's playing the base line AND singing. But she really does sound flat to me. But lance, what lyrics did she trade places?

Yeah, the instruments were pretty good, but part of the appeal of the song, at least for me, is the layered vocals. Without them, the chorus loses its impact.

I'm a multi instrumental metal/Punk Dude since the 80's , I'm in my early 40's now and still play and I have to say these kids have potential . Any shortcomings they may have can be worked on but to see REAL KIDS playing FOR REAL at this level is Awesome, I know adults in bands that can't get it together and when a group of young people work on any production as a team and have a end product that truly deserves applause!!!
I don't care what anyone says. These kids are AWESOME. People complaining that the singer is off need to understand that she's a young kid. She's still got plenty of time to develop her singing voice.
These are a group of young adults who put forth an amazing effort on a great cover. Papa sets the bar pretty damn high -- can't expect many people to measure up perfectly to him. The complexion of his vocals is in a league all its own. With that considered, the vocals were fine, especially considering she was also playing at the same time. Not many people can do what she did, especially the purists in the comments section ;)

Part of posting yourself on the internet is you have to deal with people who can say what they want and hide behind their phone, tablet, or computer. It’s changed the way we talk to other humans and it brings out the hate people have that they wouldn’t otherwise express... in person. It’s a shame that people have to be hateful here... especially with such young artists. These kids are fantastic. They have amazing skills. Her voice is young and amazing... it will change and progress as she gets older, along with the smoothness of the instrumental. The more you play and sing, the more you find your true voice and music. She’s got great control and is on key... her range and emotion will only get better with time. The more you play, the more you learn. I can’t wait to see these kids in about 3 to 5 years as they gain experience and find that “live entertainment” aspect. Get crazy on stage and make people FEEL the songs and not just hear it! GREAT JOB!!! PLEASE KEEP ROCKIN AND DON’T GET DISCOURAGED BY ASSHOLES THAT TYPE STUPID SHIT!!!!

Really nailed this cover. Love the cinematography and that the singer is playing an instrument while doing vocals - that's true talent! I disagree about the voice, I think it's good and in the spirit and even pitch of the song - it has a certain tonality that carries just right in my opinion. I say everyone involved should be really pleased with this effort, they did a great job from instruments to photography and everywhere in between.

I think that she does the vocals justice and everyone else should be proud because this is a really well-executed set of visuals and it tracks up against the audio pretty much perfectly. Respect is due!
I think she sounds pretty FLAT but the music is great. Maybe try a male singer next time who has more vocal range. Ghosts actual singer has amazing range.
She lends a punk vibe to this song, which I find to be splendid! I feel it's way better than Ghost's.
She messed up the structure of the lyrics in the chorus, though, for at the beginning where she should sing "swear" she accidentally sings "stand". And vice-versa for the chorus's end.
It's amazing, though.

The reason that was added to their name was because when they went to tour the US there was another group called ghost so they added BC, but they are just ghost.

Short version: this is very friggin' good, and I would jam with these kids in a heartbeat.
Somewhat longer version: I give this 7/10. The music was damn near bulletproof, and all of the performers were engaging and interesting to watch. Swapping swear and stand during the chorus was disappointing, but I can understand if perhaps the bassist/vocalist's parents didn't want her to "swear before the devil". Still, it took away from the song a bit. The final critiques are for the vocals. The lack of harmonies was keenly felt, although I'm not entirely sure if Ghost themselves actually sing them live or use backing tracks. Nevertheless, it took a little away from the song. Lastly, I felt that the bassist/vocalist could have attacked the vocals with more vigor, but I think the way she personalized the melody shows that she will soon be a pretty bad-ass singer. Which is to say I think any perceived vocal weakness is a matter of inexperience rather than a lack of talent. She's got loads of talent, as does the entire band.
If music makes y'all happy, then pursue it just as hard as you can. Waiting until you're a middle-aged fart like me before you get a record deal and start touring is okay (I mean, I'm still out playing music and selling records), but these youngsters could very well get a 20 year head start and have long, fulfilling, and bad-ass music careers.

I disagree on the vocalist's voice. I enjoy her's more than Ghost's. For this song, that is. I feel there's a punk vibe to it, which I really thought made it much more risky.
I agree, however, with you on their decision to change the lyrics. It just feels wrong. Other than that, I feel it's a more complete than what Ghost did.

I see this cover as excellent everywhere except the vocal performance and the video performance itself.
Vocally I agree, talent is there and that's no doubt. But she delivered the melodies so bland and cut off a lot of notes which detracted from this for me. I also agree with you on the lack of vocal harmonies. That song's harmonies were badass and what made that chorus the catchy monster it was, which leads me into the video itself.
So they kept the keys as a nice touch, but no one's playing them in the video. Even if you fake it, at least show someone on a keyboard at that part to make it feel more authentic. Another thing is that half the band is looking at the camera/up from their instrument. I get it their young and to that I'll cut them some slack, but look up every once in a while. I want to see the performer getting into the show and the energy of the song, not just standing there looking at their instrument like it's their newborn child.
Besides those very picky but subtle details, I agree, this is an awesome cover and I too would love to jam with them sometime.
