It's a television show, Lol. And it also took place in Beverly Hills, parents were permissive as hell. I was a teenager in the 90s trust me, my parents were very strict. 😅
She’s not clueless at all, she’s manipulative, playing with her daughter’s mind, saying she trusts her and giving her all the freedom she wants and then putting a cross on her neck reminding her of all the brainwashing that’s already in her head and will stop her from doing anything her mother deems to be inappropriate. Nothing clueless or uncalculated it here. In fact she doesn’t trust her daughter at the moment that’s why she pulled this stunt.

I disagree. I was a teenager when the show came out, and I thought she looked incredible. The dress fit her like a glove. I was not crazy about Brenda's look but in my opinion Kelly's dress was awful.
