Lets be real. The one things that makes dwarves superhuman.... Work ethic. Everything they do, they do with care and attention to detail. Whether its mining rock, smithing, fighting, or drinking, they go 110% They dont have immortality or natural arcane abilities, theyre just fully committed to everything in life, which makes them seem exceptional by human standards.

Original Dwarvish music by Clamavi de Profundis? Dear Aulë, that's incredible! You guys seem to have been born to represent Durin's folk. Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!
Something I particularly like is how the first half of the song sounds quieter, more like a celebration of the Dwarves's general society and love for ores and smithing, while the second half kicks into high-gear with a celebration of their glory in battle and sounds like a marching song.
Exactly! This represents dwarven civilization to the point: they are happy and content being just left alone to their mines and forges, creating great works of craftsmanship they can truly be proud of. But if you threaten their way of life, they will defend it till their last breath, often with the same tools that were used in said mines and forges. Have you ever noticed that Tolkien's dwarfs rarely, if ever, express desire to conquer or subjugate other races? And almost all conflicts they take part in (not counting occasional mercenary companies) is almost always a defensive war or an attempt to reclaim one of their lost holdings?

I may not be a dwarf... Only a man with what little magic I can gather... But I stand with you, and unlike the softness of man, or the fading magics of elves, my blood, my magic, it will stand with you, shall the stars burn out, I will light more, shall the sun fade to darkness, then my life will bring a new sun for dwarves might, may my magic, what little I have, and may my life, no matter how different I be, show that I stand with you, and will not leave you in time as elves, or betray as man... For I am magic first, knowledge second, and human last, my humanity may be weak in battle, but you will not see me kneel with any foe, nor betray any dwarf, I stand and fight to my last breath to help unite this world, so that we all stand as endless in time as your craftsmanship, so we all have a reason to live

I've been scouring the internet looking for songs to sing. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Your family makes such incredible music
Still, the actual Azog story is so amazing and how Tolkien ties the Goblin and Dwarf wars in with Hobbit is done in Tolkien's glorious way. You can't read Hobbit without also reading those stories from Return of the King.
"Feh, Scolandier was bigger!" A howl from the dwarf followed the proclamation. "I fought Chaos Dragons! And lich-kings! I fought Greater Daemons and the gods themselves! If you think about it. The hammer is a symbol of all dwarfdom. The hammer is a miner's friend, forger's tool and a warrior's weapon. It is strong and swift. There is no justice nor mercy, only the hammer. It is the earth purified and made stronger. Loud and proud, strong and powerful. It is a dwarf by all metrics of dwarvishness. My husband introduced your songs (starting with this one!) to my kids about 2 years ago. Now their bedtime songs are from you guys. This one is by far the most requested song.
Years later and this is still my favorite of any of your originals. It honestly competes with Song of Durin in its ability to capture the essence of Tolkein's dwarves. Their pride, their honor, their fierceness in battle, all of it.
Agreed, though for me this is the song I come too when my brain is going in too many directions. The heavy hammer beats help bring me back to the center.
BewareTheCarpenter wait till you hear a rendition of the dwarf song from discworld, that is an incredible song with possibly the best lyrics ever written
It's amazing how well you pull off both the deep Dwarven sound and the high, beautiful Elvish poetry. I'd love to see you do another song based on portions of the Lay of Leithian.
@@RosseRue Actually, I meant what I said. _The Lay of Leithian,_ translated "Release from Bondage" is a 4223-line poem that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote telling the story of Lúthien Tinúviel. The sections of verse on pages 206 and 216 of _The Silmarillion_ are quotes from _The Lay of Leithian._ There are much longer excerpts from this poem in the book _Beren and Lúthien_ recently edited and published by Christopher Tolkien. I definitely recommend it if you would enjoy reading the story in verse rather than the condensed prose version given in _The Silmarillion._ Unless there was something else I am unaware of, this book is the first time we get to see more of Tolkien's original writing about Beren and Lúthien than was given in the Sil.
This song. In the new LOTR series. First Age Dwarves marching to fight Melkor's armies. "When the hammer flies, Lines of armored Dwarves arise." EDIT: Nice that so many agree. Hopefully, producers take notice & make CDP collaborators for their music production!
Very awesome song guys, loving the cadence of the hammers. You guys have the dwarven spirit alive and well in your hearts. May your hammers ever sing, and happiness your halls always ring!
the Gods of fantasy music have blessed us with a divine gift. In all seriousness, you guys are amazing.Your renditions of dwarven music cause chills sometimes

Gimli:yes
The real reason that this is so amazing is because it awakens a part of you, a longing for adventure that's trapped inside the chain technology has wrapped around it. In a way it sets you free. It give you a longing for something that never with come to pass.
When I listen to this song I cant help but imagine these dwarves are brilliant craftsmen who have mastered blackpower weapons and that the "Falling Hammer" does not just represent a forge hammer but also the hammer of guns and cannons falling as they fire in the heat of battle.
Hail the king of under the mountain lol, the dwarves of erabor and iron hills alone can run a industrial revolution on middle earth, erabor mountain alone is a ultimate bank of gold, silver and gems etc , iron hills has produce steel products and gears etc and Dale town is the agriculture and trading market for them 3 places , erabor can fund to build a steel rail line system going from iron hills to erabor and Dale town and to the lake for fish to feed the dwarves and humans with plenty of meat etc, having horses or giant goats to pull the railcars full of people and goods back and forth, rail lines make things easier and faster to move around, and if they wanted to they could build a rail line to shire and Rohan and white city area and have a big trading economy going, maybe the dwarves can create a useful plow to plow multiple rows of farmland and maybe a harvester to collect the crops etc pulled by animals , essentially they could create a modern urban lifestyle feel with preindustrial technology
"We fought them hand to hand;" at the start of the battle, the dwarves meet the enemy in traditional melee combat. "When the hammer's boom;" the point when the cannons send round shot skipping through the orcish formation, sending up stone, wood, and bone shrapnel from everything they touch and leaving a twenty foot wide line of carnage in their wake.
I think Clamavi should do a full reading of Lotr and The hobbit. One chapter per episode and all songs included. Just sit and listen to their mesmerizing voices reading through the story and singing. Please tell me that wouldn't be the most perfect thing ever.

Lets not forget "The lament for Boromir", "The lament for the Rohirrim", "The King beneath the mountain", "The song of Beren and Luthien", "The Ent and the Ent-Wife".... They have many masterpiece-level songs!
"Grog... Hear dat?" "Nup." Grog says, running a hulking hand across his sweaty brow. "Kant ere nuttin." "Grog.... das stone talk?" Grog begins to wimper. "Why rocks speakin' dwarf?" That was the final words Grog ever heard.
Feel the ancestral pride flow through you. You are descendant of Dwarves. You humans call their fossilized remains "Neanderthal". They were stronger, smarter, and Tougher than men. I was not yet born when they roamed the surface among Humans, but They still dwell beneath your feet.
Used this for my dwarf cleric of the forge. He United the dwarven kingdoms to face off against and undead horde where he lost his life, but the battle was one. The undying war had ended. And his armor stands fixed with bronze watching over the cliff. Some say you can hear his hammer ringing in mordrins forge when the thunder rolls over Norbirad.
Man, even though Tolkien didn't actually write this one, I think he would have really liked this. You guys are out here bringing his art to life and it's absolutely amazing! I've probably listened to all of these over 1000+ times!
I can totally imagine Durin VII marching to reconquest Khazad-Dûm once and for all, as dwarven people unite under His banner with this song as their new anthem
Don't worry about those dislikes Clamavi De Profundi, they are just people who cant believe how amazing your song is!!!! Like how can you hate this, or they are probs orcs or goblins.
You thought the Orcs were great warriors? Their entire thing is overwhelming superior forces with waves upon waves of weak soldiers. They always suffer massive casualties, whether they win or lose. They're successful because they breed like bugs
This song is so amazing! You guys keep putting out epic songs and we love you for it. Thank you. Oh, and may the hammer fall in those who dislike this song.
“And Durin’s folk… do not fight from a fight.” Sorry, it’s such a great moment, and leads up to the best part of the movie that never ceases to send shivers down the spine every time.
"Down in the deep where the dragon used to sleep." Used to. You want to boast like a dwarf, make killing a dragon a footnote in your song about hammers.
I didn't thought I will listen to it at 1 AM because of technical problems while making something for a school project. This song gives a lot of power!

The hammer and the dwarf are one and the same, an extension of each other. The hammer both represents the dwarf and **is** the dwarf.

Years later and this is still my favorite of any of your originals. It honestly competes with Song of Durin in its ability to capture the essence of Tolkein's dwarves. Their pride, their honor, their fierceness in battle, all of it.

Do you mean Luthien? If so, they already have. It's awesome.
