And now back to versus, did I plan to do two Monarchist ones back to back? No. It just turned out that way. But I did plan to do this last week as this came second in it's poll. But in experimenting with Shanxi I decided that was what I wanted to do next instead. Nevertheless here it is now.
Relying on the Hoi4 AI to do my fighting for me? No thanks, I'd rather spend those 70 day focuses on something more useful. Realistically you aren't going to get any useful allies from Miedzymorze anyways, the best option is ITALY and even if you beat Germany to the invitation they'll almost always say no (unless you go facist, which falls outside the scope of this video). So you get what...Romania? Finland? Meh. Better to invade and puppet them if you want AI """support""", that way you at least get some industry out of it.
With regards to Lithuania, one useful strat is to do claim Livonia before reuniting the commonwealth. You can get up to war economy and extensive conscription while using puppet Poland as a beat stick against Latvia. Both trees are fun for a chill defensive game.
lithuanian path is better cuz 1) no war with germany -> easily focus on soviets and after that on germans 2) estonian cores 3) overall country buffs from the tree
@@gatzimitk u gotta do as both poland and lithuania but if u get lithuania puppet and germany demands memel, ur puppet will decline it and you'll get surprise war earlier than 39
I wonder how it feels going unhistorical AI playing as Poland when Lithuania raises monarchy sentiment. Also I like it how easy it is for Poland to go monarchy with no negative modifiers despite the country being extremely anti monarchist at the time... but I guess its hoi4 and hoi4 ppl obsess about monarchies 4 some reason
It's not like people were anti-monarchist. They were just indifferent and perhaps used to the republic which had been around for like 20 years already.
Sometimes when you do commonwealth as Lithuania (especially in non-historical games), Poland has their own king, and you can't do the commonwealth path
the thing is, the secret path for Poland is way better than both, and it gets you the same focuses wit the commonwealth, so there is little reason to do these.
Anastasia (or Wojtek, if you can be bothered) is the best Commonwealth monarch. Wargoals on the same states as the others, with the opportunity to take Slovakia as well, and the ability to core Russia once you're close to beating them. Her final traits aren't bad either.
her final trais are unlocked fairly early tbh, adter you get slovakia you just claim russian and sit on the wargoal, you get like -5 stab and 20% ppgain

Playing as Lithuania, taking "rejoin the railways" focus after annexing Livonia + Poland cores gives you +1 infrastructure to ALL of your provinces. Considering that you will never giving up Katowice to Germans and potentially get extra steels from Latvia and oils from Estonia, I think it's a powerful strats.
The best is polish romanov path, you can easily demand 🇱🇹 and then make it ur puppet, and after that doing focus restore commonwealth, so afterwards while doing else stuff u can core entire soviets
I feel like you're too strict on your comparison. If you're comparing monarchist path in the same national focus tree, then sure you should only compare the unique focuses between them. But if you're comparing two different countries who can do similar things, then you should absolutely be comparing what LIT and POL offer in the rest of their tree. Because as you say, the Commonwealth section is largely the same, the only difference being whether EST is cored or has ticking compliance. The same should be said if you're comparing which country is the best to form the European Union, or comparing whether POL or RUS has the best Slavic Union formable? The countries will be identical, so look at the rest of the focus trees, national spirits, decisions and events, even if they're not specific. So yes, you should absolutely bring up the differences like Forest Brothers or Lithuanian Paramilitarists or that you get the Danzig or War event if you're POL. (Really, that event should be tweaked to affect whoever owns Danzig and Gdynia, not just POL, but that's not relevant to this)

I think access to Miedzemore makes Polish tree superior.
