Sorry I missed the Octane Hour tonight! That C6 is close to my 2009 Spec Z51 that I still have in my garage Mine is an Auto, 2LT, Crystal Red Tintcoat, NPP, but way lower miles at 7,200. Same Transparent Top, Forged Chrome Wheels (Just the ones you LOVE Mike LOL😊 an $1,850 option) I got my Window Sticker out, the 2009 C6 had a base MSRP of $48,565, Options $9,035 & Freight $850… for total of $58,450 The dealership rarely discounted their Corvettes because they got very few allocations, but the purchase price was discounted to $51,990. ($6,460 off MSRP was pretty good I thought!!!) I remember seeing this C6 in their showroom in December 2008 and I kept driving by the dealership for months. I had my 1976 C3 and 1995 C4 and the wife said I had to sell the C4! There were not going to be 3 Corvettes in the garage!!! The C4 was Dark Purple with only 4,044 miles on it. Had it been Red, I would’ve lobbied more to keep it. After selling it, I went to the dealership 5/5/2009 and bought the C6. I was surprised how long it was there, but back in 2008-2009, dealerships were going through some tough times and the Stock Market was facing some turmoil as I recall. So, I got a pretty good deal!!! Seeing Robert’s C4 there tonight, made me recall that whole purchase timeline. I was so fortunate to get the C6 as a Retirement Present to myself! OK, a year early, as I retired in 2010 in June, but I loved the Spec and had to act when I could! I had 33 years at my job that I got in 1977 shortly after graduating from Penn State. I felt I deserved a nice retirement present. There was a long dry spell until the C8 came out and I was fortunate 7/20/2021 to be “at the right place at the right time, to be that guy” to get a deposit down on a C8 and get an allocation in November 2021! As I’ve said before, I love the Trips to Corvette World that you do! LOVE SEEING THE INVENTORY!!! So Happy for Robert that he got his C4! There are so many nice Corvettes there! I wish I lived closer! 2/24/2023 I saw a TV Advertisement for Carvana and was curious what my C6 would bring $34,249 which means I need to add on $2,000 to $5,000 to obtain a Retail Value! I’m not sure what profit margin Carvana adds to their purchase price to get the Retail Sale Price? Does anyone know what that is? Thanks
Have y'all heard of any of the A8 transmissions giving Corvette owners trouble? I'm talking about the shudder problem that the A8 has? I had a '17 Camaro 2ss I traded in because of the A8 problem!
I have a 2019 grand sport with black wheels I hate blacks wheel. Where can I buy chrome forage wheels at a good price or wheels that don't crack like factory wheels
Hopefully as I like to give shirts need bigger sizes 4xl and in long sleeve please. I believe selling 3xl 4xl and even 5xl would sell fast. And long sleeve please. We are not all like Mike!
