Hi. I have install under-seat subwoofer. But instead of tapping power directly from battery, I tapped power on the power of the head unit. I'm not sure if that's okay. But I've used it for quite some time now and everything is okay. I just noticed almost everyone is installing direct from battery and not on head unit power source.
Nirmally it has two +12v supply, one supply from the direct battry current and other one from the ignition which gives supply when the key turns to acc/ on position. In your case you have connected these two supplies to the ignition supply which came from headunit. Battery supply is used to provide constant power, allowing the subwoofer to be ready to operate at any time, essential for maintaining performance when the vehicle is on or off. 12V Ignition Supply is a switched connection that activates the subwoofer only when the ignition is on, preventing battery drain when the vehicle is off and ensuring the system operates only when needed.
If you are connecting rca, then no need of connecting speaker lines. But you need to connect p-connect(a ignition +12v) to the subwoofer in order to switch on the inbuilt amplifier. Is it working without connecting p connect??
Normally, every player do not equipied with subwoofer RCA outs. Then we have to give the signal for the subwoofer via speaker out lines. In this video, 2.50-3.20 we show the installation manual. As we have RCA out, we have chosen the RCA method. But if you want to install it using speaker out, the third method can be used. We will upload a close up of wiring diagram for you of the above installation, cheers
If you have seperate out for subwoofer or audio out in your stock head unit, then it can be installed . Otherwise, you can use your speaker out from head unit to feed the subwoofer also. So this can be installed to a car via nominal speaker out
Normally it is recomended to fix it to a flat wooden board and put it on the floorboard. But here as the subwoofer covers its entire body with a plastic cover, no short circuits will happen. But for higher bass sound, without a proper fixing, the sound may not as expexted.
my car player has a subwoofer connector on the back of it,can i install this subwoofer without amplifier? or i need the amp....and do i need aftermarket player? because at the back of my player already have subwoofer connector....sorry for bad english
These type of subwoofers are called active subwoofers which means they already have in-built amplifier on them. seperate amplifier is no needed. If your car headunit already has a subwoofer out, then you can surely use it for this type of subwoofer installation. Wish you all the best for your installation.
@@the_garage thank you so much!,another question is...my player only have one subwoofer output, how can i installing another subwoofer if i wanted soon?
i have a same MBQ woofer installed in my car. i didn't use RCA but connected through speaker wires. sounds really great but on the rear seat i could not feel the bass. I can feel bass only in front two seat . Any problem with the installation? suggestions please

What am I doing wrong, I don’t have a direct plug in for the rca leaders so iv spliced the 4 wires to left and right speakers, it works but is to basey to the point iv turned the sub power to min and sterio base to min?
Then how about change the settings of the sterio to play the mid frequrncies and for the subwoofer settings, set the low frequencies and crossover to the lower margin of the subwoofer
It is better to use a 2channel amplifier rather using two subwoofers connect to the system at once using audio outs from headunit. Use RCA to input the signal to amplifier and then use two outs from amplifier to give the signals to subwoofers. But careful about the power supplied to the system as this may drain your batteries quickly.
Hi, my MBQ 10 inch works, but do u know why when i turn the gain or freq knob or even the phase button, there is no difference at all. Is mine broken or yours is the same? thanks!
My one is also same..I think that this is fabricated with a pre-amp which has not much power..it only plays the limited frequencies and changes may also be limited. If this is installed via a seprate amplifier, these changes may come to action. My one is also same..no difference at all.thank you
It has a good sound quality. No noise. Clear low frequrncy sound. Good base which suit to a interior of a car cabin. Though it is not sound as large subwoofers which run with seperate amplifiers, this is a good product to use which will satisfy your requirements. Can be recomended.
Normally audio setup has two power inputs, one of +12v battery input and +12v ignition input. Yeh this +12v ignition power input can be used for the +12v remote wire power for the subwoofer. Firther it needs a +12v battrry power also. But be careful when you are using +12v ignition power, it needs to be a power source which not engaged in the engine main power. Otherwise you will experience a engine noise from your audio setup
You have to connect power cables and p-connect in order to power up the sub. The sound signal will come through the RCA output from the unit to the sub. No additional wiring needed.
Is your sub has a fuse in its body near the power connection socket as this subwoofer. Then you need no fuse between the battery and your sub. If not it is recomended and much safe to add a after market fuse to this main power line to protect your subwoofer from power surcharge. If the line get high load, higher ampier, then the fuse burn out and protect the subwoofer..nominal ampier for the underseat subwoofer is 30amp.
@@snowdoglover8204 you have got a fuse (yellow colour) in your subwoofer compartment. So no need extra fuse. Just directly connect the yellow wire to the positive terminal of the battery. +12v
Yes. Both delivers audio signal, But factory stereo systems connected with high-level inputs will not sound as good as low-level inputs. If your using an aftermarket stereo, there won’t be much of a difference between high-level or low-level inputs on basic systems. If you’re going higher end we are recommending to use low-level inputs. Thank You
Normally factory fitted headunits are not equiped with RCA outs. If you are using aftermarket headunit , be sure to purchase a one with RCA out and then you can surely done this modofication to the Celerio also
It is much better if you can use RCA output as it already devides the low freaquancies for the subwoofer. Other wise if you are going to feed the sub from a normal speaker out, then unwanted noize can be damaged to your sound quality . So we are recomending to use a seperate RCA out for the sub for better performance. Thank you
