Seeing gorgeous decks like Reanimator makes me kick myself for not getting into oldschool 10 years sooner but I think I had to play modern magic for the last 10 years to grow an appreciation for the old cards. I'm a slow learner. 🤣
@@Matt-dc8lp Thanks Matt! 👍 I could have put together a nice deck with Portal 1 and Starter 1999, along with Unlimited, Legends and Arabian Nights of course. 😁
I think the reason I hate The Deck is that it's basically a "Good Things" deck that avoids creatures or creativity. The Mind Twist in game 1 encapsulated how terrible that card truly is for only a small B splash. The Reanimator was rad. Loved the Legends.
I don't like having cards that do nothing most of the time. For example, better off with an Island instead of Time Vault b/c that pays the upkeep on a Stasis and also is frequently useful in other situations.
Love the videos but man I hate watching ’The Deck’ , it’s not interesting or creative, obviously very powerful but its kind of boring. I would have loved to see Reanimator get a little steam and do what it was designed to do.
I know what you mean, it’s a deck of answering threats and gain card advantage. Nick is also a very skilled the deck player, making it even harder for opponents. Next week I’ll upload the finales and we’ll see if he can win the Forest Frenzy.
One of my character flaws is that I struggle to conceal my disappointment when my opponent plays The Deck. I get that I should be happy and open to anyone and everyone no matter how they play the game, but it's a boring and frustrating deck to play against. Not fun at all. About the only time I'd be happy to play against it is if it was Weissman himself.
That was so lop sided to say the least...the guy with "the deck" had 200 grand worth of cards in his deck and in both games the other guy got mana starved which is even worse.

Great Matches. The reanimator deck is sweet.
Thnx 🙌
4 color the deck...very nice. This was great coverage. Again, thank you for the wonderful content. This channel is in my top 3!
Thnx Gomcse 🙌
Going up against The Deck with a good pilot is super hard for any build. Not surprised at the outcome, but it's still fun to watch.
Tune in next week for the finals ;)
Great competition! Exciting game! And good accompanying commentary Timmy!
Another good video 👍
Thank you Tom 🍻

I held my breath so many times! Sweet animator deck!
That moment when All Hallow’s Eve resolved 💃🕺
The deck was legendary back in the mid 90s
why did you say that you don't have to sac Solkenar to The Abyss? It's just artifact creatures that you don't have to sac to The Abyss.
Yep, that was a mistake on my part. Wishful thinking got the better of me 🍻
Thanks. I was going to post the same comment. A lot of people get this wrong because they associate it with Terror.
Really wanted to see a miracle in these games 😩
I was already happy to see the All Hallow’s Eve resolve 🎃
The Deck is very powerful and abusive.
Very true, especially in the hands of Nick 😮
"The Deck" player played it beautifully!!!
Agreed, Nick’s a great player
what are the lands in 'the deck' in this video? Hard to see...
Cards from which sets may be used to play?
Swedish rules:
Alpha
Beta
Unlimited
Arabian Nights
Antiquities
Legends
The Dark

I know what you mean. The deck responds to threats and does that fantastic, but it doesn’t create anything 🤷♂️
Kills me that I had to sell my entire collection years ago and decided last year to get into oldschool. Budget decks ahoy!!!!
Welcome back Roland 🍻

He def was unlucky
In fact, The Deck is a no-brain deck, totally boring : counter, counter, draw...
its not the most fun deck to play against but really the one playing the deck makes it a good deck. its absolutly not a no brainer deck
Ok !
