My husband had a 74 with the 4 cyl engine. It was his first brand new car. He said his had all sorts of mechanical problems but I think they got better after the first year or two. But he traded it in after just over a year. I think it had like 102 HP. It was long gone before we even met but he has photos of it. I don't know if it was an option or an aftermarket part, but the mustand in the grill was illuminated and I thought that was neat. But no AC, no power windows, only an AM radio, I don't think it had power steering or power brakes even. Despite the problems he ran the wheels off of it. He said he put almost 34,000 miles on it the year he had it.
900lbs less than the previous years??!! i want one to put a 460ci BBF in it n have some serious fun.. Guy selling one in my city won't respond to my messages.. Has a 302ci v8..

This is the third generation, 71 to 73 is second generation and failure.
