When John points up to the sky and mentions Cassie in the rocking chair, he's referring to the constellation, Cassiopeia. A lot of people think he's talking about Mother Abigail from The Stand. She would have been alive during the time this took place. He pointed to the stars, so was obviously talking about the constellation. Cassiopeia was a Greek Goddess, and the constellation is formed to look like a chair, or her throne.

Not exactly. He raped and killed a young girl. He the tried to burn up the body which caught an apartment building on fire, killing 6 others including 2 children. Bitterbuck killed a man in a bar fight
@DaleKingProfile man, I guess over 20 years, maybe watching how kindly he's portrayed in the movie, it's warped my recollection of his actions. Either way, he would deserve death row, but definitely changes how (un)likeable he is.
@@DaleKingProfile That's cool, so at least he's portrayed well in the movie. Still colored my recollection of his crime, but no real impact on the sympathy he evokes in the movie.
I believe it was a decision on the director and screen writers to NOT explain why the prisoners where on death row so that the audience would be more sympathetic towards them. Would you be sympathetic for Del if you knew he r@ped and murdered a young girl, then set fire to the building to cover up his crime which led to more people being killed?
You need to watch the other great movie by Stephen King, The Shawshank Redemption. The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption are his best two books which were made into movies. The next two is Misery and Psycho.
Slavery was abolished in the North not long after the founding of the country. The slavery that we had was a remnant of the British Empire. It was also supported mostly by the British since they profited off it the most(buying cotton). The British had a massive influence on slavery in the USA. It was only during the Civil War that they stated to distance themselves from Southern slave owners and that was only later on in war. A lot of the South were British loyalists.
You are not quite correct. The British abolished slavery before the American Civil war (1861-1865). In 1807, the slave trade in the British Empire was abolished. However, slaves in the colonies (excluding areas ruled by the East India Company) were not freed until 1838 - and only after slave-owners, rather than the slaves themselves, received compensation.
@ My comment is quite correct. I never spoke on slavery on land that was part of the British empire. I said that slavery in the South was a remnant of the British empire.
in order to understand the minor details you have to know lil bit of USA history and dont worry most Americans under age 30 dont know any of this because our schools took this out of history subject. After world war 1 pre world war 2 (which is the era this movie takes place) the country went through depression majority of soul providers were unemployed. Which its mentioned "bread line" thats where people had to wait in line for free food if your families were starving. Slavery was legal not just black people kidnapped white teenaged boys from France too. It was said they were criminals sent to serve 7 years but they would accuse them of another crime when their time was up or kill them. Our mouse owner is a frenchman . His crime may have been a lie or a rebellious act due to mistreatment

Thanks for letting us know ❤
A UTI does hurt. I had one when I was eight. It felt like I was peeing staples
Oh man I'm sorry, it's truly horrible
In the book, if i recall, Del tried to get back as his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend by burning her stuff. It burned down the apartment complex killing 17 people, or something like that. So, he did kill people, but not out of malice.
@@bdennis2004 The book does go into how likeable he was. Don't remember the exact wording, but it said it was the only crime he had in him
@@DaleKingProfile That's cool, so at least he's portrayed well in the movie.
That's a wise decision honestly
Like it said in the book some people only got one crime in them and Percy is one
True
43:46 Cassie, the lady in the rocking chair is the constellation Cassiopeia.
You need to watch the other great movie by Stephen King, The Shawshank Redemption. The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption are his best two books which were made into movies. The next two is Misery and Psycho.
I always wondered if the lady with the tumor lives really long as well since John gave her such a boost of vitality.
I think he just took her illness, didn't give her any piece of himself
I like you two, great reaction to a fantastic film.
Ayy thanks for watching ❤
If memory serves, Dell committed a robbery then set a fire to cover it up and several people died
That's horrific
If you didn't cry you don't have a soul 😂
LMAO true

My comment is quite correct. I never spoke on slavery on land that was part of the British empire. I said that slavery in the South was a remnant of the British empire.
a house mouse lives about 3 years max. so a mouse that lives to be 60 is 20x older than usual. a human living 20x than usual would be math old.
in order to understand the minor details you have to know lil bit of USA history and dont worry most Americans under age 30 dont know any of this because our schools took this out of history subject.
Great movie to react to! Hope you've both see -if you haven't- "Good Will Hunting" and "The Shawshank Redemption" even if you don't make the reaction video.
Added, thanks for watching ❤
My dad bought the Ron Popeil (literal) hair spray. I'm so sorry.
