  • Hi Sim Builders
    XPlane12 has introduced a cool feature where you can assign a separate set of control inputs for the copilot. In my case, I decided to use the old Saitek Pro-Flight rudder pedals and install / use them on the copilot side.
    Let's see how it works.........
    My PC specs
    * Corsair 5000D Airflow Black PC Case
    * Intel Core i9 12900K 5.2GHz CPU
    * Corsair iCUE H150i RGB Elite Liquid cooler
    * Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Ultra LGA1700 ATX motherboard
    * Corsair 32GB 5200MHz DDR5 Vengeance ram
    * EVGA FTW3 Black Gaming 24GB RTX 3090Ti GPU
    * Samsung 980 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD (O/S)
    * Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD (Programs)
    * Samsung 870 QVO 4TB SSD (Data - Ortho4XP etc)
    * Acer Nitro RG321Q 31.5" QHD Monitor (Operator Station)
    * Logitech Z607 Speaker system
    * Win 10 Pro 64 bit
    * EVGA SuperNOVA G1 2000W Fully Modular 80 PLUS Gold
    * Corsair ML120 fans (x 9)
    My cockpit setup
    * Custom designed frame / panel
    * 3 x Samsung 55" TV's @ 1080P each
    * Simionic G1000 bezels and Switch panel
    * 3D designed and printed standby gauges connected to Leo Bodnar Boards
    * Dual control yokes with custom mechanical linkage

    Finally found someone who explains it well. My Saitek pedals 'didn't work'. But the solution turned out to be simple. You must opt for co-pilot. I fly helicopter. And with one type you fly Huges 269 on the left and with the R44 you fly on the right. Changing like this is not strange for helicopter pilots. And I also fly real. Have you by any chance also made recordings in which you discuss the Response curve? Again, clear and simple explanation. Thank you from the Netherlands.

      Hi and thanks for the positive feedback. Greatly appreciated. I actually havent made a dedicated video on response curves, however there is a good tutorial from Q8 Pilot channel if you check that out.

    I guess your yoke is much closer to a real plane in terms of them being mechanically linked. The rudder I guess you’ll have more the airbus experience with the computer deciding the priority

      Yep. Unfortunately I dont have 4 legs to try this ! Will see if my son can help out and test what happens...just need to peel him of his World of Tanks gaming !!

    Your cabin is nice but I guess the window side needs to be more lean. Please look at the real image of c172 between door and panel with window. You have fixed the window already nicely.

      Thanks. Yes a little bigger than C172.

    How did you put yourself in the simulator screen?

      Apologies but can you rephrase the question. Not quite following what you are asking here..............

    How do you like the Velocity pedals? scale of 1-10, 10 being awesome
