Same! I used to only use it as my vlogging camera when I’m traveling, but it’s taken over a lot of my main camera duties when I’m outside of the studio. I want to pick up a second one, but there’s rumors of a prototype in the wild with a complex optical zoom with 3 focal lengths.
I am suprised by the quality of the M5....Not sure i like the color of it fully...but for a fraction of the price...its a nice entry into the market for a beginner.
Of course, Dji is better but with half of the price of dji clearly Ordrno is WINNER here, and Field of view is also better than dji, with little post production, difference even cannot be noticed on Mobile devices. With half of the price and more features, hats off ORDRNO.
I'm a professional video maker and bought the Pocket 3 for getting faux drone 'pole' shots.....but.... it's pretty much replaced my DSLR on a Ronin Gimbal due to the speed I can work (and the weight) - it's not as good as a prime lens/gimbal combo....but not that far away. I once had the original OSMO Pro - but the lack of auto focus (and lack of updates and support) made it almost unusable. I'd love a Ronin 4D, but can't justify the price-tag ....so hey DJI - I love this camera - please make a PRO version of this camera (it doesn't have to fit in a pocket) with a larger sensor/camera, capable of a shallower DOF, but will all the autofocus and clever gamma and tracking tech - at around the $1.5K price range - you would clean up!!!
I bought the Pocket 3 a few months ago and loving it. The side by side comparison really makes the Ordro M5 look like a knock-off Aliexpress version on the Pocket 3 😂. The only thing that the M5 wins in the field of view, even larger than the Pocket 3 with the wide angle lens on.
I prefer the deeper colours on the M5 but the pocket images better fit more viable video content… the M5 looks a little richer like old school, but the pocket brings everything into view
Thanks! I’m using the Audio Technica AT875R connected to the Zoom F3, it’s mounted off camera right above my head. I love the Pocket 3. I always bring it with me when I go out because it’s so small and the footage is great. You’re going to have a lot of fun using it.

Is your dog ok ? Looks like either inner ear problem, vestibular disease or perhaps had a stroke ?. I ask because my old boy had the same tilt to his head, he had vestibular disease . Hope ok. More important than cameras.

M5 is cool but the DJ pocket 3 takes the cake for me. I love the look of the video footage straight from op 3. Maybe M5 can do some firmware updates and come back for another test. For now DJI is the clear winner in my book. Thanks for the comparison. 👍
M5 reminds me of a GoPro. Good attempt though… just shocked they would go after that market after it is tried and tested from a market leading product. Not too much room for improvement, it’s like catching up to a car that’s been sitting there for 7 years.
Hi, I have the PO3 since the release, and I barely picked up a wireless mic "HAPPOYEER", and on the first test it was super clear. I will run some more test, and see if on the computer result is 100% clear as from the PO3 playback audio. Ralph, can you run a test as well? I do event, to the PO3 only comes with 1 mic, and at times, I need more than 1 so I don't have to run back and forward transferring to the next person.
At about 1:04 the Ordro M5 looks like it was shot in film while the DJI Smo Pocket 3 looks like it was done in an action camera with a ton of sharpening. It also looks like the Ordro was kinda underexposed with the default settings. So maybe it needs some EV adjustment. In most scenes though DJI was winning. Especially indoors.
The Osmo 3 appears more natural in color and has a better image. Why does everything in the Ordro M5 seem further away ? Are they set on a different zoom setting ?
The low light was noticeably more grainy on the Ordro. The night vision is ok if you really need it for surveillance or something, but I would never use it unless I was doing a Blair Witch spoof. I would love to see both cameras with an adjustable ND filter.
The DJI destroys the M5 in lowlight, but overall, being half the price, the M5 is a very good value as long as you don't need to record in low light that's not low enough to merit IR.
Maybe a little bit side tracked. I am one of the backer of Ordro M5's Kickstarter project, and the project owner seems not willing to fulfill their promises and deliver us the final product...even we all know that is product is selling on different sales channel already...Anyway thanks for your comparison, think I can just buy the DJI pocket 3 instead of waiting the M5🥲
Hey Mic! She has vestibular disease so she has a balance issue. It started about a year ago. Other than falling over when she tries to shake, she’s doing pretty well. Especially at 15 years old now. Love your videos btw. You’re the reason I got the first Insta360 One X… and many more cameras after. I’ll send you a bill later 😂

I’m thinking it’s because everything is on auto. I normally use it with the exposure turned down, sharpness to -2, and NR to -1. Shutter speed was also crazy high cause it was super bright out and I shot without any filters so it has more of that iPhone look.
I am color blind. I can see the colors are different. I don't know if one is better than the other. The Ordro M5 looks better but my color vision is useless.

I think if you need the Pocket 3 now, then it’s still a good time to buy. The P1 came out in 2018, P2 in 2020, and P3 in 2023. My personal opinion is that they won’t replace it until at least Oct 2025.
@@worldchampion I think it depends on what you’re trying to film. If you’re going to do more walking and talking, the Pocket will be better. If you plan on going to the beach, amusement park, riding a bike, etc then the Action will be better for you. Rumor has it that the Action 5 releases on the 28th so maybe hold off buying anything until we see what’s new on it. The Neo drone is supposed to come out next week if you’re looking for something like that too. DJI is trying to drain our wallets this month lol

That’s exactly what it is. The M5 really isn’t a bad camera especially for the price.
The dog is tilting his head a bit. That is usually a sign of an ear infection. You should check it out.

I do like the Ordro M5 color But DJI is 100x clearer and Color can be edited in the final product... So 1000% DJI

Ordro M5 has much better AWB. OP3 has terrible deep space blue which is ugly.
