First time hearing this song. Got me in tears...I wish my parents would have fought harder to keep us as a family. I always wonder how my life would have been if I had both parents. Would my life be better and would I have suffered less. I see my father with his new family and I’m happy he loves the kids but makes me sad because I will never know that feeling of having him in my life.
Dont feel bad. I think most Hmong families who had a dad born in asia never had the common sense of how to be a father or mother. They all got married early due to it being the trend. Men/women would get marry early n pop kids out right n left n than the men would continue to cheat on the wife. I know this cause I grew up seeing n living it with my own family. My dad went overseas n made 2 kids with another wife behind my moms back. Got sick n came back to who else, my mom to care for. Those og Hmong men are a number, dont let it stop you from living your life to the fullest. We just have to not do what our parents did to us n try to be better parents to our own kids. Again, we all pick our poisons so we just have to choose wisely. Let it go that's the only way to set your soul at peace.
