The only* part of fall back that titanic units are immune to is desperate escape. Big guns never tire is specifically meant to remove the necessity of that rule from 9th
I got a little annoyed when I saw it :P , I am 99% sure they took the 9th rules by mistake, since I can not find this anymore in the 10th core rules... if I am incorrect PLEASE tell me which page it is on
You should change the in-house re-roll for explosions to be: roll two dice, if the result is 8 or higher, it explodes. Still statistically likely to NOT be an explosion, but you’d also have way more explosions.
Is it possible to get the info what paints where used to paint the votann? I really like the color scheme of warm orange to red with teal in contrast. But I never get the right orange or the transition to red.
Random question from someone who is very new to 40k. I'm confused on how dmg works. If there are 3 attacks at 3 dmg, targeting a unit with 1 wound models. Will I only lose 3 models or will the attacks dmg spill into the rest of the unit's models?
No, no it was not. Tyrant is overcosted, Executioners are just straight up bad, Huntsmen are outperformed by the cheaper Karnivores, of which there are too few of those and too few brigands.
@@MrHoneuma I really want more people to play lists like this, as a knights player its been miserable for us unless we play a super Karnivore and Brigand heavy force. More optics on units that aren't really working (and the army rule in general) is probably a good thing. Feel like GW is focusing on their win rate and not how each unit actually plays.
The Overwatch strat doesn't say that. It doesn't mention crits at all. only unmodified 6's to hit, which the thunderkyn have a special rule to override.
@@spawnofheck it's not in the core rules, but in the rules commentary. It'll show up under Critical Hit if you search Overwatch in the app. "Critical Hit: A Critical Hit is scored when a player rolls an unmodified Hit roll of 6 for an attack. Critical Hits are always successful Hit rolls, and can also trigger additional effects as described in certain rules (such effects are often said to be triggered ‘on a Critical Hit’, meaning when a Critical Hit is scored). While resolving attacks using the Fire Overwatch Stratagem, Critical Hits are only ever scored on unmodified Hit rolls of 6." So I think it was one of those things that wasn't clarified in RAW until they uploaded the rules commentary, since the stratagem doesn't specify that.
YESSS THANK YOU FOR VOTANN
I'm happy. I so rarely see them played.
I’m glad we finally get to see the Votann play! I wonder how well they would stack up against my new grey knights
Good to see some votann love on the channel

1:59:01 The Magna Rail still gets +1 to hit because bonuses are cumulative. Heavy and Judgment give +2, the CK ability gives -1 which nets out to +1.
I believe you cannot modify Hit more than +1 or -1, but yes if you have -1 then you still get +1
ooooh, love a good longform tabletop game as much as I love a 40 minute vid! Nice work
Fall back with titanic doesnt allow it to shoot. The exception for titanic only applies to desperate escape checks.

Just curious but what's the difference between joining your Patreon and the youtube membership?
Pretty much nothing. We’ve tried to make them as similar as possible.
@PlayOnTabletop But you guys get paid a higher percentage of patreon memberships right?
Very slightly.
BOY HOWDY, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BARN BURNER! WELL PLAYED N GG!
Don't usually watch the longform games but how can I say no to some dorf action
Dr. Rhino watching on. Awesome
"I didn't do an oopsy" proceeds to do an oopsy
That was my decition wich army to begin in 10th. I did start with Chaos Knights but still like the optic of the small transporter of votan
I’ve become a Mubin fan

Im really interested in both of these armies. Which one is easier for a beginner? Knights or Votann?
Was this one set of terrain or two?
Diggy Diggy Hole! Nice match up, chaos knights were scary until I put a shadowsword on the table.
Let's see how the space Dwarves face the Chaos Knights!

You'll kill 3 models, damage doesn't carry over (unless specified i guess)
@@eo8240 thx appreciate it
I REALLY dont mean this an attack, but you lads need to look after your health. JT getting wheezy just from standing up is a little worrying.
as much as i like seeing CK being played that army was not a winning one in any way

Dwarves & Elves in 40k next?!
As a ck player im incredibly saddened by the great pick of only one large knight
Thunderkyn can't crit on overwatch on 5s. The overwatch rule specifies that crits are only ever on 6s.

cool models!!!!!
where 40 mins report?
This was a live stream
Live streams don't do 40k in 40mins
Only 1 titanic unit? Cringe.
Everyone knows you gotta run 2 titanics and give every model 50 titles.
