Guys remember custode players using wardens have to declare at the start of the phase if they want to use the 4+++ feel no pain. If they don't then they're incorrectly using their rules and I see this alot! I ask them if theirs anything they want to do when I'm going into each phase
So, it's kind of complicated to explain (do let me know if its not clear). Basically, a lot of strats have a caveat for activation such as "when a unit is selected to fight" or "when a unit is targeted by another unit" etc. However, fight on death is NOT a unit fighting, it is individual models fighting, so they do not count as a "unit" activating. This means you cannot use defensive strats which key off "units" or offensive ones either (for eg, world eaters could not use their -1 damage strat either). It's honestly not very clear or obvious, but for BA it's a reaaaaally good way of fighting into custodes since, as far as I remember, you have a FOD ability for the DC?
@@TheRedPath We have a 2 cp fight on death for anything. So if I get this right he can only use the buffs on the guys in my unit that survive his attacks.
I love this, but Custodes is partly why I have a KLoS and a Forgefiend in my list. 3 Damage attacks are pretty helpful in dealing with Custodes. Even just Eightbound to get those Lacerators into them
Hey, I'm looking at moving some of our content back to apple podcast. Currently we have a bunch on Spotify, I just need to work out the logistics and fiddly bits to get them on more platforms.
Nice vid and very informative!! I wanted to ask you if you saw this WE list that went 6-0 this last weekend, with Angron, fav juggielord, winged DP, 3 maulers, 2 forgefiends, 6 eightbound, 4 spawns and 10 jakhals. Opinions?
I did! It's actually one of Team Red Path who managed it! There's a full writeup from the player in our discord, but I thought it was just so awesome and fresh to see such an inventive list doing so well.
Thanks! The KLOS is an interesting one; while I do think it is useful into Custodes, it has problems on certain terrain layouts. UKTC and WTC layouts in particular make it very awkward to position and find firing lines, however GW and PPT layouts are much more accessible for it. Since I mostly attend tournaments on UKTC/WTC, I didn't cover it here, since my own experience is very limited, but I can see how it would be really good into them specifically if the terrain format favours it!
@@TheRedPath Yes, mine got very stuck in the alleyways at the last Coventry GT, but I want to persevere as it's such a cool (and potentially punishing) centrepiece
Ah yeah it can really struggle there. It's always an option to strat reserve it now, since its points are low enough, it gives you a bit more control over where it enters and what sight lines it gets!

This guy gets it!
I dont understand, why cant they use -1 damage when I fight on death? I am trying to use the tips for my Blood Angels.

Yes exactly, any of your models which are fighting on death wont be subject to reactive defensive abilities from the custodes.

Lacerators just butcher Custodes.
@@jaworski105 I’m happy we have a wealth of options for how best to deal with our opponents
Nice! Thx for content. I`m glad to see you.
Thanks for watching!
Great info!
Great video, very useful! P.s Will we get the mini of the month soon? Love that format
Glad you enjoyed it! MOTM is on a hiatus at the minute; Im looking at ways to restructure the show to make it more appealing to a larger audience.
Thanks for a great video
Just use a Lord of skulls it will do the job
In WTC its hard
Given how badly I get wrecked by Custodes I could use all the help I can get!
Wish you guys were on Apple Podcasts. What I found on Apple Podcasts is from April 2022?

how to bait out the 4fnp on wardens

Great vid but sad that Lord of Skulls didn't get a mention - do you think this has play into Custodes as another hammer, or too big and expensive?
