I have the same car - and as you’ve indicated, unless you are assured of sun for a few days, taking that soft top off is truly a PIA. I haven’t had mine off in 20+ years....LOL. Would love to have a donor hard top.
hey great video! 😊 I'm looking at getting a Jimny soft top, hopefully an 02. Will I be able to put on a hard top for winter and then put back on a soft top for summer? I live in the UK so unfortunately we have to consider the weather 😂
I have a 96 geo tracker I have a hard top I want to switch it to soft top do you know what parts does the soft top connect too is that a soft top frame ?
Yes the soft top uses a different system to attach...if you need peices get ahold of hwy 83 suzuki ...his name is Tony and has anything you need...tell him I sent you...he'll treat you good...he has a youtube channel on youtube as well
Ive been watching all your tracker vids, Im out east in NS and I just did an engine swap on a near mint tracker that came from canmore alb(mint trackers are like the holy grail out here, Ive owner 7) it was a soft top i had to do the same swap but i think the hard top is so much better, especially if you have a hyper 80 lb dog like me

little mancave on the prairie does anything have to be moved over from the hardtop one or are the clips on the cover itself?
1SikMag no nothing gets crossed over...the front topper has its own hardware to stay in...
