I’ve been a lampworker since 2004 and taken dozens of classes over the years from many of the masters. To my recollection, not one once have I seen glass laid down in this manner, left to right, right to left. I can’t wait to try it! Your beads are perfect. Thanks so much for this very informative video.
Wow, thank you so much, Julie - That's high praise! And I'm especially pleased to hear it from an experienced lampworker. Since I'm self-taught (my one course was more of a wine & cheese festival than glasswork) I probably took the long way around in learning the basics. But I was so fortunate to receive a huge order early in my career that meant months and months of hollow core bead making, which is where the left to right, right to left came from. Loads of thread work that just became my foundation. Honestly, I don't think I could do it any other way at this point!
From The Bead Maker's Perspective well it’s brilliant! I’m just rewatching again as I had several interruptions the first time. I look forward to seeing more. One is never to old to learn new tricks. Thanks from Canada. 😁
