Steve from Redcar. Not a bad video matey, nice to see you didn’t blank. It looks to be a good venue but my advice would be to fish to the conditions and time of year. I’d save the cart donkey chokers for autumn & winter fishing. Size down on the hooks to maybe a 2/0 - 3/0 max with your worm bates but tipped with squid strip or mackerel belly to add some movement, also using some mussel could do the trick for a variety of species. Stick at it as persistence pays.
Hi Steve, thanks for watching. Cheers mate appreciate it. Cool, thank you for the tips. Donkey chokers going on hold for now haha. Brilliant advice, gonna have to go out again now 😉 Thanks again bud 👍
Just come across your channel, subscribed, easy to listen to. Living in Shiremoor, raised in Whitley Bay just taken up fishing again after 40 ish years. Tried Collywell bay a few times, couple of small codling a couple of weeks ago looking forward to the proper cod season. watched fishing hinney fishing into the same gulley and also from the ledge above looked a bit dodgy to get to but I think there is an easier way than from the top of the cliff top.
Thanks for that Martyn, appreciate the sub too. Yeah, Fishing Hinnys doing great. I've a few personal issues this yeah and have hardly fished, but definitely wanting to get out and hit the cod season and get some more content out. Thanks again for watching. Tight lines.
Cheers mate. Made my night you watching and commenting on my vid haha. Yeah, bit gutted I missed all the winter fun. Cheers for the advice mate, I'll defo be out this autumn for the cod. Tight lines 👍

@@SettingTheHookUK this is it :) We all have our tings ❤️ Yeah not sure when my next will be, nearly went out tonight (a car camp before work conference tomorrow) but although car was all packed and ready to go, come 5pm just too tired so gave it a miss
Haha what are the chances. Thanks Yvonne, I appreciate that. I have a few of your videos to catch up on. Haven't been on here watching as much as usual. Busy with life haha. 😊
If you look on the Internet you can find out most of the names for the fishing marks and they're done by a very accredited angler from the north east & 100% correct as well
@SettingTheHookUK flyfishing and fly tying, mainly sharpley, sometimes thrunton or chatton. Bit further a field rutland or eyebrook. Do a bit of salmon fishing too
Sorry for the slow reply mate. Brilliant mate. I need to get some more tying done, once a get a better vice lol. Hopefully catch you at Sharpers one dat 😉
