The Raccoon has been out for a long time. I’ve had mine for close to a year. I’m guessing it wasn’t available at BHQ until now? Seeing it on the “New Knives” segment tripped me up a bit haha… they actually have some models now with different blade shapes. It’s such a great knife though. Definitely recommend
That Bradford 4.2 is tempting, but those flat slab scales don't seem right. Some smooth contouring like their other knives would have looked a lot better imo.

"The World's Strongest, Sharpest Knives" was Cold Steel's slogan for a lot of years. Just making a reference to that. I imagine a BK2 would still be splitting wood long after you broke the Republic. It's twice as thick and made of a tougher steel. Thanks for keeping me honest.
@@BladeHQ it seems to me that knife prices have been getting ridiculously high these past few decades. Case, Buck, Ontario Knife Company, and KaBar are managing to continue to make quality products in The U.S.A. for reasonable prices compared to much of the competition (in my opinion). There are now knives produced by companies that cost more than a pistol or a rifle. That’s ridiculous. I do have a Benchmade knife that I like a lot. It was a gift. I do think that their knives are priced high. It is well made. Very well made. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to make the videos.
No one asked, but I think the "radius" is a poor name for that knife / knife lock. A radius is measured from the center to the outside edge. But the path that the lock sweeps is just PART of the circumference. Which, is referred to as a segment. Which is an even dumber name. However, the 180 degrees, IS equal to 1 Pi radians. So you could refer to a segment that is half a circle as Pi, and I think Pi lock flows better than "the radius lock".
The lock is the radius of the circle, so it's perfect. The lock is from the center to the pin that you push. You then move that pin (which is the length of the radius) along the circumstance of the circle lock. Other names that would work well would be circle lock or circumference lock.
New idea for these videos. First off love them and I like to see all of the new knives. I think that you should give away the knives that you display in these videos. It would be a cool way to interact with your views. I know that they get price but at least could give one or two away for the new knives.

They offer it with both flat and contoured scales in both g10 and micarta.
