Well put together. I am another jasmine aficionado. I bought my plants from LIDL last year and first season they flowers lovely towards the end of the summer. Surprisingly they survived well the northern U.K. winter, but some brown leaves and stunting I decided to repot in the spring and they have grown vigorously using an occasional tomato feed. They get morning sun in a sheltered yard, from 0900 until 1400hrs. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have any budding yet. I will try and wait u til October and give them a good prune. I am very keen on using your home made fertizer recipe. Good luck from Northern England.

very timely...my jasmines were falling on star jasmine that i bought two months back. I also purchased an arabian jasmine yesterday online and will use your tips. can i use rose tone (fertilizer for rose). it's organic and 4-3-2. I had my star jasmine, in zone 9b direct sun for 6-8 hrs, but I see the flowers and buds were getting brown, dry, crispy and falling. So I moved it to shade, where it gets sun only in the morning for 2 hrs. Is that good thing to do?
They require at least 5-6 hours of sun. So keep in a sunny place. And use a fertilizer that is high in phosphorus and potassium. It will recover the bud drop problem. Also sometimes too much watering causes bud drop problems. So water only when plant needs, I mean when 2-3 inches of the surface soil is feeling dry... Follow the tips I have shared. These tips are also applicable for the star jasmine😊
And the hardiness zone of Jasmine is 8-11. 😊😊
Hi Nishat, very helpful information on Jasmine 🙂 Recently I stumbled accross baby's breath plant which i really liked and I tried to buy the seeds online but instead of babys breath i got sweet alyssum and its not returnable 😶 I want to know if I can sow alyssum in this wheather ? Will the seed germinate in monsoon?

Hi Nice video. Quick question.. I have a jasmine plant and i am new to growing one of this. My plant produces lot of new buds but i am not seeing them blooming fast. Do you know the reason why and what i can do to avoid this?
New plants show some disorders after planting due to new growing media and the surrounding environment. You do not need to do anything. Keep in a sunny place, water only when 2-3 inches of the surface soil feeling dry. Let your plant be stable. It will overcome soon. 😊😊

Obviously growing them in the ground will give you the best result, but they also do well if grown in 10-12-inch pots. You just need to prune the roots once a year(in pot). 🌱🌷🌱🌷❄️
My Jasmine only get morning sunlight, it is almost always in the shade, it is over 30 years old, every leaf points to the sun, I do not trim it at all, the plant does it all by itself.

You can grow any varieties. The "Maid of Orleans" Arabian Jasmine variety is a prolific flowering Jasmine. And can adapt quite well to such sub-tropical zones🌷🌷🌱🌱.

Jasmine is a summer-growing plant, but now the weather is getting cool, so the plant will reduce flowering as well as will decrease the size of the flowers. Leave the plant as it is. Fertilize in spring for huge flowering. 🍁🌷🌷🌱
