China Glaze Ruby Pumps has long been a holiday favorite. Also love Celebri-tree. After the Holidays I always pull out my Valentines polishes - reds, pinks and whites. I think these make a nice transition from holiday to spring colors.
I really need to pick up Ruby Pumps again. I think I had it at one point and then gave it away. Wish I hadn't. I love to pull out more pinks and reds in February as well. I will have more of those in my transitional video next month for sure.
Haute Tub crossed my mind before you showed it I have it in a box of Essie’s , another Essie I love is Dressed To The Nineties - good collection that was from tfs
LOVED THIS roundup, Laurie! So many of them you mentioned are ones I own and love, too! About MPJ (My Private Jet): - I am the proud owner of an original bottle... it's more charcoal (not brownish/warm) and the holo is quite significant - in both the bottle and on the nail. At least for a mainstream polish at the time it was released, it was probably one of the first of it's kind, and when I saw it I HAD TO HAVE IT (my cuz was in cosmetology school and as such I had a lifeline to current polishes at a price I could afford as she sold what I wanted to me quite cheap!). I've worn it many times since, less so now that it's older and I know it won't last forever. A few years ago I picked up a bottle at TJ Maxx that matches the description you speak of here... definitely not as vibrant as the original, and the controversy is because it was advertised as a re-release by OPI that did not at all match up to the original. (Either make it the same or call it something else, you know?!) Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Yay! I love that you have many of the polishes I mentioned. That's awesome you have the original My Private Jet! Thanks for clarifying what bottle you think I have. I kinda assumed I didn't have the orignal one. I know! OPI has done that before with the re-release of Let's Be Friends-not the same at all. haha. And, Sally Hansen did the same with Pacific Blue. Such a shame. Thanks for watching! You have a great Christmas too!
Reds are the best this time of year. I don't really wear red any other time of the year. Well maybe once during the summer I will wear a really bright red.
Winter polishes are the best! I always find myself wanting to wear them all and there’s never enough time 🤣 Such a great video and I just love all the OPI “reds” 🥰 That Terra shade got my attention too ha ha. Just love how you do your swatch comparisons! I definitely have to pick up “Santa Monica Claus” Love…Love… ❤️
This was one of my favorite vids from you! Love it when you have the "Laurie-sillies"...that's when you laugh a lot and your descriptions contain many "-ish" adjectives....like bluish, brownish, purplish black. In other words, I get a kick out of you enjoying yourself in your vids!
My favorite “blood red” to wear this time of year is Essie Berry Naughty, I have it on right now. I love the dark greens you shared, I’m going to have to pick one of them up for sure!
This was such a good video! I loved seeing all the Morgan Taylor polishes. Thank you for all the work you put into this! I'd LOVE to see some Zoya reviews!!! 💅❤
I wore I’m Really an Actress for Thanksgiving and loved it. I wanted a cranberry red and I was very pleased when it matched the cranberry sauce I made! Into the Trees is going on my hands for Christmas! One hand of that and one hand of Get Cozy, with holo gold on both. I’m flattered by warmer-flattering colors so the blue in Into the Trees makes it look *so* beautiful to me and the brown in Get Cozy helps prevent it from washing me out. And well. Gold glitter for Christmas. Although now you’re tempting me to do more with red cremes! Maybe I’ll do a matte red with gold flakes. Sounds classy to me.
Since you're into dark, moody colors (like me!) in the winter, you might really enjoy Essie- Generation Zen. Great fall/winter polish since it's a mix of taupe, purple, and grey. It's stunning on!
Hi Laurie! Revisiting some of your older videos. Question: In this video, you mentioned reviewing Zoya more often, but I don't see that you include Zoya in your newer videos nor do I see any Zoya collection reviews. Just curious, why? Thanks.
Main controversy around OPI My Private jet was regarding original release formula which was linear halo, vs scattered halo in later releases. There might have been some color variations as well.
The original My Private Jet was a black base with mega holo. I own the brown based one and it’s pretty, but would love to find that original black base!
Thank you for this info. I really need to get familiar with the scattered holo and linear holo differences. Not sure why they choose to change things up.
Oh thank you so much!! I am starting to get a little more comfortable with the videos. I have watched some of my older ones and they crack me. It helps that I am getting to know everyone a little better and now I feel like I know who I am talking to. Haha.
I think the controversy over my private jet is that some formulas lean charcoal and some lean brown. I’ve been on the hunt for the brown incarnation but have yet to find.
Thank you for sharing this has given me some great ideas. Every Christmas eve I put on China Glaze I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa I am looking forward to wearing zoya marida and also blaze
I love these videos. It’s fun to see how your favorites change from season to season and year to year. I would love to see a transitional one!! Please do one. I always struggle in that transitional period!!
Thanks for reminding me of many of those reds, I have in my collection, and why to I keep buying more? Maybe because I am a “Polish Freak” oh will, should pull them out this month. My bottle of Ginger’s Revenge is dangerously low, it is a great brick red! Have a great December filled with peace, happiness, and of good cheer.🎄🎄☃️❄️🎅🏼
Yes! Pull those reds out! I can totally relate to picking up the same type of colors. Like the dark teal greens that are very very slightly different. LOL. I get it! Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful month as well. Thanks for being here :)
I’m loving these videos, Laurie! One of my FAVE winter reds is Essie - Jump in My Jumpsuit from their winter 2014 collection! It’s sooooo good. I need to switch a lot this month too to get in all the reds! Is Essie-Lucite of Reality at all similar to G&G Gracias? I meant to order last year and forgot 😭 Oh! And I love that you added Stylenomics! I’ve had that one for ages and always loved it too.
Yes! I almost put that one in, it's so good! I am so sad Gracias isn't available anymore but that's how it goes with Indie brands. It's different but kinda close. Gracias just stands out a little from the rest. I should try to show a comparison on stories.
Laurie,Laurie, Laurie! I am looking for a OPI Pish that is red but had a pink shift to it. I am sure it is an older color and probably discounted, but, I was hoping you knew the name of it. Help!
Thank you! I'm definitely getting more comfortable being on camera. I am getting to know everyone a little better and feel like I know who I am talking to now, LOL.
Loved this video! So many great polishes! Looking forward to the transitional video as well. I would absolutely love a tutorial on the wreath nail art! It was stunning!
Ginger's revenge looks gorgeous on you. I found it on eBay last year. And I plan on wearing it for Christmas. What top coat did you use for this shade?? It's so shiny 😁
I have pulled some out for December but you reminded me of a few more. I loved many of the polishes from the China Glaze Grinch collection and the OPI Nutcracker and the 4 Realms too! Thanks for the video!
I didn't ever pick up any polishes from the Grinch collection, I will have to check them out and see if i need some. haha. The Nutcracker collection was so great! Thanks for watching :)
Omg warm me up I absolutely loved!! My private jet I wish I had the original Holo one! It was a super strong Holo and then they just stopped making it and the new Holo wasn’t strong, sad times. I have the new formula but it’s still pretty xx
Yeah I wonder if they have some reason they have to change the formula. I am sure the standards for ingredients change and they can't use certain chemicals so they have to reformulate. I am not sure. Seems like they just need to leave them be. lol
I have all the new seasonal collections on that shelf where I can access them easily. They get switched out and moved around as I rotate through them. :)
I love these favorites videos! I always find at least one color I have to go out and get. Thank you so much for taking the time to link everything and to show the side by side comparisons of the different color families!! Also, since the Essie Gel Couture is your favorite, have you seen the new Pattern Play collection? I'm excited for it!
Darn. I feel bad I put a handful of hard to find polishes. I will try to see if there is one close. I am sure I have a comparison picture of it on my Instagram page.
I absolutely loveeee your videos but.... can we take a moment for your hair!!!??? I think you could attempt to make it look like a birds nest and it would look freaking gorgeous!!!!
I love your favorites videos. Whenever I’m in a rut or feeling overwhelmed with picking a color you help me decide on what to wear 😁
Yay! That makes me so happy!
China Glaze Ruby Pumps has long been a holiday favorite. Also love Celebri-tree. After the Holidays I always pull out my Valentines polishes - reds, pinks and whites. I think these make a nice transition from holiday to spring colors.

I bought Celebri-trees just to do football nails! I’m using it as the grass.
Haute Tub crossed my mind before you showed it I have it in a box of Essie’s , another Essie I love is Dressed To The Nineties - good collection that was from tfs
I'll be wearing china glaze ruby pumps for the next couple of days 😃
I need to re-buy that one. I gave it away a few years ago and I shouldn't have. It's very pretty!
Love your videos! It would be nice to see some blues for Hanukah as well. Maybe next year. 🙌
Love your Winter picks! Morgan Taylor killed it this year!
They really did! Thanks for watching :)

Zoya Merida is my Christmas green polish! 💚 My OPI red is Big Apple Red, but I consider it an anytime of year polish. ❤
My favorite “blood red” to wear this time of year is Essie Berry Naughty, I have it on right now. I love the dark greens you shared, I’m going to have to pick one of them up for sure!
That's a good darker red! There are so many red options lol. Let me know how you like darker green when you try it!

Yes, that's the perfect cranberry red for the holidays. Glad you enjoyed that mani. So many options for Christmas, it's so hard to decide. Haha
the original my private jet was a black linear holo
Awesome video as usual. I hope you are having a good week 🙏❤️💅

Another fun video. There’s never enough time to wear all the wonderful colors per season. Too many to choose 😱

Thanks Nancy!

Yeah, that's too bad. They shouldn't mess with polishes!!

Every Christmas eve I put on China Glaze I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa

I'm not familiar with that CHina Glaze polish. I will have to google it! Thanks for watching :)

Could please tell me your best longest lasting combo for base and top coat ???
I'm wearing OPI Paint the Tinseltown Red, and I LOVE it!!!!!

Hey Laurie, How do you decide which polishes to put on your shelves behind you when filming your videos? Have noticed they're always different :)
I have all the new seasonal collections on that shelf where I can access them easily. They get switched out and moved around as I rotate through them. :)
oooh fun video!!! Made my morning :)
Awww. This comment made my day :)

From the Shine Bright Collection- I do like that one a lot!
Could you do a clip about your favorite pinks from opi? Please❤
Oh that's a good idea. I could do favorites of colors for all brands. Think of all the possibilities! haha. I will keep it in mind. :)
@@GoPolished Yeees! It would be amazing. 🥰
Do you find olive and june makes your nails peel?
I haven't had that experience with Olive & June, Sorry if you have.
Do you or have you reviewed any of the Smith and Cult colors? I wanted to know if it’s worth the price.
I have never tried them but I have looked at them online before. They are definitely more pricey!
