Javier Fernandez will go down as one of the greatest men's figure skaters in history. The thought of him no longer skating competitively makes my heart ache. He has taken men's skating to another level with his true artistic, unique form which exudes all the qualities of a men's skater...smooth, precise, athletic, and masculine. He connects with the crowd and wraps you up and draws you into his superb skating. You don't want to let go of him. Bravo! Bravo!
This programme is an absolute genius, he doesn’t skate the character, he lives it! He’s a true artist on ice. I think that many people don’t realise how difficult this performance is, he makes it look so effortless! And the expression, oh my. Just brilliant! ❤
The poise, the elegance, the control and grace... all with a smile, giving his heart out to everyone. Everything came together in Javi's performance that night. And what a moment to do it. What a career! What a guy! Love you and miss you Javi!
@@liceous Spain is not so big on ice skating (I mean it is not practiced a loooot not as much as many other sports) nor it is such of a big fan. They have great competitors but this discipline is not one they applaud as much as it would be nice if they would in their main stream media and overall culture, you know.
@@charlize6994 spaniards don't take him into account when mentioning our country's best athletes. It's just football over and over again. So heartbreaking to see many hardworking and determined athletes being ignored by the inhabitants of the country they represent
Javier's Malaguena & Modern Times SP, together with Yuzuru's Chopin No.1 & Parisienne Walkway, should be mandatory study material for all junior male figure skaters dreaming to become the next superstar all over the world.
I loved this performance! Though I have to say, what were the camera people doing? Some of the angles were really awful and I couldn't get a good look at Javi's face at times.
He's so amazing and this performance makes me tear up every time! You can't just pick one thing, he just lets the music, which is already ridiculously beautiful, flow through him. And incorporating Chaplin's mannerisms! One of my favourite SP ever. You're so missed, Javi! 💔

Gosh! I miss his skating so much, specially after this year's competition. The way he connects with the music is so unique among high profile skaters and I haven't seen a single skater this year (men or women) that did justice to this component. I appreciate the technique, but the beauty of the dance and the way it becomes one with music is just so unworldly that it hits me every time.

considering they r only aloud 3 jumps in sp, one of which is 3a, one combo
and 1 jump, i''d say he has jumped enough
Doing a quad doesnt make the program better. Figure skating isnt just about that but about the artistry
