Christmas Day in Victoria in 2024

All shops and restaurants are closed on Christmas,
so celebrating at home is the best way to enjoy the day.

We decided to organise a special Christmas lunch, which also served as a welcome party for our honored guest.

Having seafood for Christmas was a real feast!
But the indulgence didn’t stop there - we had desserts lined up too.
As it got hotter outdoors, we moved inside for our sweet treats.

We ended up leisurely spending 5.5 hours just eating, chatting, and laughing.
A big thank you for the scrumptious food and wonderful company!
Later that day, I headed to another Christmas party.

It truly was a day filled with amazing food!

We visited Rawdon Court's spectacular Christmas Lights display again this year.
This event has been voted the #1 Christmas Lights Display in Victoria from 2021 to 2023.
Last year’s highlights had already included a Christmas wand light-up stall, an ice cream van, Santa and other Christmas character cameos, carol singers, and fun games.
This year, they added even more: a food truck, new Christmas decorations, and free gummy bears for all visitors. It was also more organised, with controlled entry to limit the number of visitors at any given time.
The family began setting up the display on 12 October 2024. Yet, even through such incredible effort, they donated all profits from the event to The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
Truly a meaningful and heartwarming way to celebrate the season.
