Let me share a secret: out of the 16 seasons of Coke Studio Pakistan, Rohail Hyatt produced 8 of them, spanning from 2008 to 2013, as well as in 2017 and 2018. All of these seasons featured live recorded music, showcasing the authentic essence of each performance. Now, however, the focus has shifted to pre-recorded music, which feels more artificial. This change is largely attributed to Xulfi, the current producer. I really miss the Rohail Hyatt era of Coke Studio. The music from that time was authentic, raw, and incredibly unique.
