G-Dragon and Tyler are both creative people and have been seen together way before this song came out. Tbh, G-Dragon have been a talk among producers around the world since 2009.And he became even well known when once he made his comeback in 2012-2013. That's when he's been seen in contacts with more creative people, models, celebs etc. Though, he doesn't publicise his relationship like others do, that's why people tend to get surprise when they see old pics of GD with international celebs from years ago.
And this is why Big Bang, namely GD, paved the way for the new generations
GD was actually friends with some artists in the west. It is just he is just lowkey. Lol. Him and Tyler the creator were also friends. They've seen hanging out way back 2015 or 16, I think. GD is also friends with Pharell. He got some friends from music people to fashion people.
Funfact: This video was actually available in USB album. But some fans uploaded it in YT. Also, this is supposed to be the title track for his 2017 Kwon Jiyong album but things happened and Untitled 2014 were the one who became the title track.

its really really hard to translate GDs lyrics, but theyre completely chock full of wordplay, proverbs and references etc, but all Korean so international fans woulnt get it (I am one, and can confirm, a lot flew over my head with a lot of lyrics) Theres a korean youtube professor whos decoded a bunch and its really interesting

GD's Kwon Ji Yong album is so good, he goes off on all the BS he's had to put up with and the tones of the songs are balanced as a cohesive EP. He's executive producer of his music. Not sure who the engineers are but he's the micromanaging type anyway in the studio.
This song performed live is spectacular. Frankly, everything GD does is even better live.

Love everything on Kwon Ji-yong album. Agree that if non-korean speaker, it takrs some effort to unpack everything - but even without the joy of the wordplay and cultural references - it is still excellent. Gotta say tho - after looking deeper - he is the shakespeare of lyrics.
