The three stories might be: 1) The Champion storyline 2) The Treasure Hunt storyline 3) The story involving the legendary Pokémon and the Terastal Phenomenon
I think all 3 stories happen in one playthrough. My guess is the fire truck is the evil team, and the towers are about researching the legendaries, which are the other 2 stories. No idea, though.
The post scene of Delta Episode for Rayquaza in ORAS, is like this in SCVI but like more OP with more options!!! PD: I love Cetitan! I want to have a plushie so badly of him right now!!!!!
I wonder, with the Co-Op play, if you are playing with someone with the other version, do their version exclusives start showing up, because they say "Pokemon you haven't yet discovered."
My guess for one of the other two stories: a Legends Arceus like complete the Pokedex story... Maybe the teased treasure hunt is story three... But no details leaves it pretty vague...
The other two stories are probably going to be the evil team/flags, and a story involving the towers. If you zoom in on the map, there's a tower at every corner of the region and there are flags at multiple locations. I don't see a story to complete the Pokedex since you would complete it throughout the entire journey and it would be impossible to complete without buying both games or having someone to trade with that has the opposite game.
It's likely the 3 stories are the gyms/league, the villain team, and the academy, with the legends being tied to either the academy storyline or the villain team storyline.
3 Stories: 1) Gym Battles and Elite 4 2) Treasure Hunting 3) Evil team (Galdea's version of Team Rocket and others) 1 Playthrough and you choose which order to do the 3 stories in and the pace you progress them so i.e. you do all gym battles and elite to become champion and then treasure hunt, or treasure hunt then gym battles, or maybe you do a little of each at a time and progress all 3 stories at the same time side by side. If you remember, in past Pokemon games, the 3 stories were all weaved together so while you did the main story about evil team, you were also doing gym battles in a certain order and learning about a special legendary story at the same time but now they've made it so you can do any of the stories in any order and not have it all be so linear.
The 3 stories are probably going to be the gym challenge, evil team, and something involving the towers. If you zoom in on the map, there's a tower located at every corner.
Hey I know this isn’t about scarlet and violet but in Pokémon Legends Arceus when catching Pokémon in a battle, when you catch Pokémon, if the ball jumps three times, there is a chance that the Pokémon will escape, but if the ball only jumps one time, it’s a 100% chance that you are going to catch it.
0:32 It tickles me that Koraidon and Miraidon’s whole thing was supposed to be “Two badass legendaries from another time period that you can utilize in order to traverse the lands.”, when in all reality their actual thing is “SAMMICH POG, I CAN HAZ?”
It's all 3 in a single playthrough, but you can switch stories at anytime. You could choose to obtain 3 or 4 gym badges and then start the other stories, or you can start the other two stories and complete the gyms later in the game.
So we got the 8 gyms, the treasure hunt, and maybe an evil team. I hope the potential evil team is ghost type or fairy type. Or better yet instead of an evil team it’s the rival school in a football type fashion
My prediction: When they mention 3 stories, they show 3 things. Firstly, we see the gym logo. Second, we see flags and that bus with the logo that has a star with a lightning bolt in the negative space. Team Thunder Star or whatever is going to be the evil team. Then we see a round tower with circular platforms going up. I bet this story is to help the legendary Pokémon get its true power back while also giving the player new ways to explore the land, like swimming and climbing up cliffs.
I think the three stories is probably going to be, fight the gyms, fight the evil team, and possibly a rival story line/Pokédex completion and exploration. I assume a NPC is going to trigger each one, I don’t think they’re going to force you to restart your file to do each one (at least I hope not.) I’m also calling it now, the school director is the evil team leader and the “treasure” he’s looking for is him trying to find the legendary Pokémon for his evil plot.
Given that my favorite pokemon is Eevee, seeing that it can have multiple tera types right off the bat is incredible. And the type changes that occur with the terastalizing will make battling more complex than the mega evolution that added types to existing pokemon.
with the "battle gyms in any order" the website gives further info on it and says "battle tougher gyms first or battle the gyms you just came across in your journey" so I think that means gyms don't scale with your level
I was wondering this when they said in any order, like the other games you do them in order but they scale in difficulty each time. It'd be like going to the dragon gym in sword and shield and then fighting the grass gym, that grass gym would be hella disappointing if you went to it last. So do the gyms in any order but also do them in this order or you may breeze through one or two later on with evolved Pokemon way too strong for the gyms level.
The website is very vague on gyms. There could be level scaling, but each gym leaders level could scale differently. Like if you skip a grass gym and go after Grusha in the ice gym, his Pokemon could be a little higher leveled than a grass gym that you passed. That's my prediction, I just don't see TPC telling us to complete the gyms in any order and then have a level 15 Quaxly battle a level 45 Flygon. Without level scaling, we would have to complete the gyms in a specific order because we would be too weak to just pick and challenge any gym.
I don't get the freakout over the 3 stories. It's basically 3 questlines, but it's nothing we haven't had before. In all previous games we had the Gym Challenge, the Evil Team/Legendary questline and at times something else. So really, until they provide more details on the other 2 storylines, I'm not impressed by it. If the gyms do scale, I hope they give save slots once and for all, that we may replay the game in different orders, without having to lose all progress. I'm also hoping, the gyms scale, otherwise, while there' s no set path, the game will still provide one preferential path.
The website says you can "seek out a stronger gym" meaning that it's probably not scaled. They have a preferred order for the gyms like always but won't force you to follow it
@@quaxlyquixote4003 Then that renders the choice meaningless. I don't get any fun out of coming back to the weaked gym and stomping it with level 60 mons
I'll be honest, I kind of have mixed feelings about the new gimmick introduced in scarlet and Violet. I like the idea of it letting pokemon be able to change their type to another one its just the design I'm not particularly keen on personally

4:44 its pretty obvious, I think. Its like how most Pokemon games have two stories: the gym challenge and the evil team. Its talking about the plot points
For the different stories, I’m thinking/hoping it’s gonna be working as a assistant professor for one, and maybe a Pokémon coordinator for the other? I know people tend not to like Pokémon contests, but I personally love them, and think an entire story centered around that could be super cool! And if you’re a professor’s assistant for one of the stories, that would probably include you completing the Pokédex, exploring the map, etc., and that would be amazing also hahah
Thank you freshman year Spanish class, the Academy is Naranja, which means orange, and Uva, which means Grape. Not that important, just wanted to share.
Anyone else get the feeling Rayquaza may be involved in this game? I know they’re the third legendary for the Ruby Sapphire games but the tower they stand on as they say “other two stories” gives me huge ORAS post-game Delta tower vibes and Miraidon and Kiraidon do kinda look similar to Rayquaza in terms of body shape and considering we got Galarian Birds in Sword and Shield which we had to hunt as a third story, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a Paldean Rayquaza with more reminiscence to the box Legendaries we have to hunt just like post game ORAS or Crown Tundra birds.
I feel like this will be something like Legend Arceus but without its big flaws. The battle system is back to normal, the map isn't divided in separate zones, the graphics look good (especially after PLA) and the new mechanic seems amazing. Now; you're just shoved right into the Box Legendaries and they're all-Purpose Motorbikes??! I think; this is GOTY easily for me lol!!
@@langdonledwig3734 But they made no sense; I mean, in terms of ''numerical logic'' even Pokemon has always followed a proper and Fair system; but a Snorlax going before my Heracross 2 levels higher is totally garbage and ridiculous on all levels & counts. Really think the "3 stories" is just GF trying to jazz up the traditional game. 1. Beating the gyms 2. Beating the evil team 3. the "Treasure Hunt" main story, almost certainly involving the legendaries
I'm betting the three stories have to do with the gyms, and whatever the tower and rally flags are for since that was what was shown when the VO mentioned the three paths
The gyms you can tackle however you want will make type specific hardcore nuzlock (like AntlerBoy) will have a bit more strats, like taking on harder gyms first or later

Racing won't be an option. They mentioned racing because you can choose to race your friends, but I don't see Pokemon having an official story line around racing, maybe as a mini-game. I think all 3 stories happen in one playthrough. My guess is the fire truck is the evil team, and the towers are about researching the legendaries, which are the other 2 stories. No idea, though.
18:25 Actually John, it's an ice type 😉
The post scene of Delta Episode for Rayquaza in ORAS, is like this in SCVI but like more OP with more options!!!
PD: I love Cetitan! I want to have a plushie so badly of him right now!!!!!
Doing a Tera Living Dex would be a total nightmare.
Its still super early and we haven't played yet but this may be the region that dethrones Johto as my favorite region.
My prediction is a Defeat the Evil Team story and Treasure Hunt Story
I think the other two are gonna be more story heavy. Idk why else they'd tease it while hiding information.
It's likely the 3 stories are the gyms/league, the villain team, and the academy, with the legends being tied to either the academy storyline or the villain team storyline.
im exited of what fidough will evolve into
I think the 3 stories will be
1. Gym
2. Treasure Hunting/Exploring
3. Racing/Flying
3 Stories:
1) Gym Battles and Elite 4
2) Treasure Hunting
3) Evil team (Galdea's version of Team Rocket and others)
1 Playthrough and you choose which order to do the 3 stories in and the pace you progress them so i.e. you do all gym battles and elite to become champion and then treasure hunt, or treasure hunt then gym battles, or maybe you do a little of each at a time and progress all 3 stories at the same time side by side.
If you remember, in past Pokemon games, the 3 stories were all weaved together so while you did the main story about evil team, you were also doing gym battles in a certain order and learning about a special legendary story at the same time but now they've made it so you can do any of the stories in any order and not have it all be so linear.
The three stories I'm guessing is 1) the treasure hunt 2) gyms and champion and 3) pokedex
Yup that sounds great
No the treasure hunt IS the three stories one of which is the normal gym stuff
The 3 stories are probably going to be the gym challenge, evil team, and something involving the towers. If you zoom in on the map, there's a tower located at every corner.
Hey I know this isn’t about scarlet and violet but in Pokémon Legends Arceus when catching Pokémon in a battle, when you catch Pokémon, if the ball jumps three times, there is a chance that the Pokémon will escape, but if the ball only jumps one time, it’s a 100% chance that you are going to catch it.
the 3 stories are gym, evil organization, and academy life

It tickles me that Koraidon and Miraidon’s whole thing was supposed to be “Two badass legendaries from another time period that you can utilize in order to traverse the lands.”, when in all reality their actual thing is “SAMMICH POG, I CAN HAZ?”
Fr. 😭
One thing I don't see anyone talking about is that our character can apparently emote? It didn't look like idle animations since there were multiple
6:38 Wat Da Bikes Doin?
Well they said three, stories and then asked which would you begin with. so it seems we get to do all three in one play through.
One of the other stories would be the legendary story like about reviving of some Team rocket etc
I'm planning to get Violet!
Miraidon looks like a Pokemon version of a Light Cycle bike from Tron! ^^
And it is indeed Dragon/Electric, yess!
If Onix is in the game; I will make it my goal to find one with a Terestal type of fire (so it'll be weak to water) then name it ¨Crystal Onix¨.
But onic is already 4 times weak to water..
Except the Orange Islands season in which it appears would make Tera Water make more sense.
I love fidough so much 😭💖 I don't care how good it is, it needs to be on my team
They're gonna sell so many plushies
@@That_Doctor_Del_Fella and I will be buying them
Reading the website for the new games, it says you can freely go back and forth between all three of the grand stories.
Imagine all the fun the people in the trailer are having in multiplayer lmao If it is in-game footage
@@andrewichigo Yeah I'm just gonna go in order since it's not gonna be fun to come back and beat the lower leveled gyms
I'll be honest, I kind of have mixed feelings about the new gimmick introduced in scarlet and Violet. I like the idea of it letting pokemon be able to change their type to another one its just the design I'm not particularly keen on personally
The "YEAAAAHH PUPPYYYYY :DDDD" was so cute
Tera types are the replacement for Hidden Power
John you NEED to do a challenge in this with Mikey and jack
Won't happen with all three of them at the same time but John will probably do videos with Jack and Mikey separately
@@nordinaeilkema Does anyone know what the deal is between Mikey and Jack? Cause I heard everything from they hate each other to they just decided collabing with each other wasnt working out due to differences in the age rating they tend to shot for.
@@joshuabean7805 basically we know from John that they had some sort of falling out or fight and that they won't be making videos together again as they are no longer friends
4:44 its pretty obvious, I think. Its like how most Pokemon games have two stories: the gym challenge and the evil team. Its talking about the plot points
Purple legendary bike form looks cool
Bro I'm not dumb I know that you are not the real pm7
For the different stories, I’m thinking/hoping it’s gonna be working as a assistant professor for one, and maybe a Pokémon coordinator for the other? I know people tend not to like Pokémon contests, but I personally love them, and think an entire story centered around that could be super cool! And if you’re a professor’s assistant for one of the stories, that would probably include you completing the Pokédex, exploring the map, etc., and that would be amazing also hahah
Thank you freshman year Spanish class, the Academy is Naranja, which means orange, and Uva, which means Grape. Not that important, just wanted to share.
The last cool shiny is alpha shinies but now we need to get shinies with rare Tera types!
I’m guessing the legendary Pokémon are going to be like type:null and sylvally where they are man made legendaries that serve a specific purpose
In this case: the ultimate transport
John :Regional wooper regional wooper did you catch that?! Me: the games not out John
Tera Type: Electric - Shedninja. Give it a balloon
3 stories maybe this?
- gym battle
- evil team
- samenhang with professor
I really hope that I won't be
disappointed because my expectation are now really high
I mean, it really can't from here; true Open-World - and they've really gone toe to toe in challenging (and I think beating) Breath of the Wild by tossing the whole ''climax with the Legendaries that boring and predictable Sword/Shield forced you into.
Now; you're just shoved right into the Box Legendaries and they're all-Purpose Motorbikes??! I think; this is GOTY easily for me lol!!
Legends Arceus Battle System actually made the battles more tough
@@langdonledwig3734 But they made no sense; I mean, in terms of ''numerical logic'' even Pokemon has always followed a proper and Fair system; but a Snorlax going before my Heracross 2 levels higher is totally garbage and ridiculous on all levels & counts. What's the point of a speed stat then if all your opponents hold a randomizer 50%~RNG Quick Claw?? Totally trash and destroys the purity of battle. So what if it's easy; you caught the Faster Pokémon - _you earned it._ Pokémon never wanted to be Dark Souls anyway.
We can now legally play Pokemon 5Ds. Playing Pokemon TCG irl or in chat while traveling via motorcycles in-game
"Hey Penny" lol relatable
Soon enough we’ll be able to have our own kids in Pokémon, lol
Really think the "3 stories" is just GF trying to jazz up the traditional game.
1. Beating the gyms
2. Beating the evil team
3. the "Treasure Hunt" main story, almost certainly involving the legendaries
The gimmick completely changes the pokemons types to the new tera type but the other types still get stab. The news is on the pokemon site.
Poison is my favourite type and Wooper/Quagsire are in my top ten favourite Pokémon I'm so hyped!!
kodercycle and motorcycle are the new legends
Im 100% using lechonk, fidough, and wooper on my team
"The dog is sleeping with my fiance" wait, what
one thing i will say when im gonna ride koraidon........... YABA DABA DOOOOOOOOO
Hey, John, if you use Fidough, name it Gingerbread.
20:31
It only shows ones you have seen
You have Grass Cat and Lechonk while the rival has Quaxly
I like the reference to let's go Pikachu with the Pikachu with the flying Terra type
I'm betting the three stories have to do with the gyms, and whatever the tower and rally flags are for since that was what was shown when the VO mentioned the three paths
Bruh the legendaries looked at the rideable lords in LA and said *that, but better*.
The gyms you can tackle however you want will make type specific hardcore nuzlock (like AntlerBoy) will have a bit more strats, like taking on harder gyms first or later
If you check the website about the terra crystal they mention a terra type Flying Eevee !!!!
John, that giant ice monsters name is Cetitan
i know people harp on the graphics. i don't this it graphics itself. i think if GF legit optimizing graphics for the switch so it wont lag/ wont look like crap when you take a good look. people would love it!
I'm pumped so much so I will definitely be doing the preorder for the bundle pack so I can have both and replay multiple times
the new mechanic changes your pokemon's typing, cant wait to get me a flygon with electric tera and levitate for 0 weaknesses

I can't Wait till Christmas
All John's Fidoughs are obligated to be named Ginger XD
I think the storylines are: the gym battles
maybe racing on the legendarys
and something about a treasure hunt
Racing won't be an option. They mentioned racing because you can choose to race your friends, but I don't see Pokemon having an official story line around racing, maybe as a mini-game. The 3 story lines are the gyms, the flags which is probably the evil team, and a story involving the towers as there is 1 in every corner of the map.
