10 अक्टूबर सन 2011 दिन सोमवार था ,मैं उस समय क्लास 9th में पढ़ रहा था, आपके दुनिया छोड़ जाने की खबर रेडियो पे सुना, आज तक उस दिन वाले अखबार की हर एक ओ कटिंग मेरे ग़ज़ल की डायरी में रखी हुई है जिसमे आपसे जुड़ी खबरें थी, जबसे होस संभाला तब से आपको सुनता आ रहा हूँ आपकी ग़ज़ल " हुस्न वालों को खबर क्या बेखुदी क्या चीज है" इतनी अछि लगी कि आगे चलकर उस ग़ज़ल ने हमे ग़ज़ल गायक बना दिया गांव में 10th तक पढ़ाई करने के बाद मैं वाराणसी आ गया म्यूज़िक सीखने ,और बनारस हिन्दू यूनिवर्सिटी से संगीत में डिप्लोमा के साथ साथ क्लासिकल म्यूजिक में ही बीए और एमए कर लीया आज एक प्रोफेसनल ग़ज़ल गायक हूँ, आपकी गायकी में जो रूहानियत महसूस होती है ओ कहीं और नही, मिस यू जगजीत साहब 🙏
We are the unlucky genaration because we cannot hear a gem from gi-ghazal industry when I born jagjit singh ji already passed away from us that is a major fall for all the ghazal fans and the ghazal industry

उस दिन जब मैंने ये खबर न्यूज चैनल के स्क्रीन के नीचे चलती हुई पट्टी पे देखा तो शॉक सा हो गया था। लगा जैसे दुनिया ठहर सी गई। पूरे दिन भर सोच सोच के जगजीत साहब के बारे में कुछ स्पेशल दिखाया जायेगा। पर बहुत बहुत अफसोस.... पूरे दिन लालकृष्ण आडवाणी की रथयात्रा का ही लाईव कई चैनलों पर दिखाया जाता रहा। ऐंसा लग रहा था इतने महान ग़ज़ल गायक का देहावसान हो गया कार्यक्रम दिखायेंगे। पर वही.... स्क्रीन के नीचे की पट्टी पर जगजीत साहब के गुजर जाने की खबर और रथयात्रा का विभिन्न मार्गों से जनता के बीच रैलियों का लाईव प्रसारण।

I’m just 16 and really a big admirer of ghulam ali sahab and jagjit sahab and other ghazal singers and a daily ghazal listener people of my age are so much into bollywood music , heavy music and etc and critize me for listening ghazals but they will understand the purity of ghazal . It’s divine and I can live without anything but jagjit sahab’s is sukoon ❤️

I am a Pakistani fan, I remember listening to Jagjeet jee when I was a kid, the first ghazal I heard of him was on radio ye daulat bhi lelo, and I feel in love with that ghazal, little did I realise would spend a lifetime listening to him, his death has left a gap that can never be filled, we miss him 💖
