We give thanks there are still people in the world like you. Believe me, many of the common people of the world need people like you to speak out for them.
Excellent talk, especially if we consider that English is his 2nd or 3rd language. Corruption in governments, international corporations & banks has gotten way out of control. Peter gives us a unique insight & a sense that we can do something about stopping the oppressive hidden taxation of corruption on most of us by arrogant, self-justifying, power-greedy elites who work the system. He's clear & forceful delivering his urgent message. Listen, this requires action.
I also had a supervisor that told me to get some of my money out of the ATM to pay for program expenses because there was no petty cash. Amazing! Hostility, harassment, bullying and intimidation were common in this place. Lack of seriousness and transparency when handling employees complaints were also usual. What was more interesting is that this organization implemented social initiatives that seekes 2 promote peace, advocate 4 change & "transform lives".
Great Video! Such an important topic. Corruption is indeed a symptom of a falling governance structure. No a days you find it everywhere. Even in the so called "non profit sector". I used to work in a non for profit agency in Brooklyn NYC and was amazed by the level of unprofessionalism and double standards. I had a "supervisor" who used to watch youtube videos of latino trasvesteis during work hours. This man also received payment for work he never did and made his case managers do it 4 him
If Graft, may someday be legally assumed as indeed it is, as a crime against humanity, then International Law will have to be obliged to expand its jurisdiction and deliver a credible reference and punitive measures of Justice, as well as to aid in seizing and repatriating wealth, garnered in such despicable means. This globalised cartel of graft, leads to death and is an existential threat to the millions suffering under its plague as well as the unborn. These local and international adherents to graft, engage daily, in a nefarious and visions circle of denying infants their basic citizenry rights to exist, endangering their precarious health as well as that of their mothers right from birth, denying life saving healthcare to the masses as well, human beings sent home to wait for their impending death, manufactured food shortages that lead to famine, access to clean water if any at all, dangerous insecurity brought about by socio-economic effects related to graft and its beneficiaries, rampant treatable diseases that lead millions to their early graves while some languish in defunct hospitals with unpaid bills or in wretched, overpacked jails, due to the criminalization of poverty, orchestrated by the governing local elite all the while subsidized by their international financial and business partners. This man, reformed as he may be, may soon, in History’s scrutiny, be seen as having a case to answer. When they that survive, look back at this gilded age, the potently, unequal 2020’s globalised world, we had made for ourselves, this video may be evidence or at the very least, a confession, of how the plutocrats plundered and murdered, while the many watched and remained buried, Ostrich deep, in Soul-decaying apathy.
From the very moment you pay someone, and that payment controls their survival, you already have established corruption. This is also true for lifestyle. Once you attain a certain lifestyle, mostly, you move onward.
The more expensive an inefficient the project the more likely it will be approved because more “incentives” (bribes) can be skimmed off the top for the least amount of work. God bless you dear sir for exposing this kind of criminality and betrayals of trust by public officials.
Exposure is important but only the first step. It's convincing people that corruption is unacceptable and must be removed when it has already taken root.
Theres this thing in Indonesia called the Sunset Policy, happened during the leadership of Ibu Sri Mulyani when she was the Coordinating Minister of Economy. It basically forgive those who have "made mistakes" on their tax report, so then they could report the "correct ones" without being punished. I think with some tweaks on the policy, we could solve the problem of customary corruption. If you want to arrest every corruptors in underdeveloped countries, who then would got left to run the gov?
.......yes, abuse of power? How surprising! And put some stooge up on one of their information delivery platforms to tell us the cavalry is on the way! Yerp, this is all left field wizardry.....
This would be promising but we no longer have government. We have business men and bankers. It's a bit rich for an ex-banker to talk about corruption. TED talks, the last refuge of a scoundrel.
If your system needs an expose the corrupt, it's an inferior system. We in the Voluntaryist camp is giving the world a system hardened against corruption. Corruption is the byproduct of coercion (government). If you make a system in which interactions are not forced, corruption will simply disappear.
I like what they have done and it is probably a good transition, but money is still the main problem. On a side note, I like the new layout, but that's just my opinion...
Fanastic work. But at least he is free despirte exposing corruption unllike the likes of Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning etc. Lets never forget them and keep supporting them.
@audadvnc Most people who get into politics at these levels are in it for the wrong reasons. There are very few politicians who genuinely are there to help society. Even under those circumstances, it's best to expose corruption. Making it harder and harder to achieve legal bribery is very important. The USA for example needs to overhaul campaign finance laws, as most of their politicians are corporate puppets.
I concur completely with Ipoonthecasbah (nice name btw ^.^). TH-cam has screwed users over with changes in the past, and I'm starting to become accustomed to it. Hell, I'm almost a masochist for YT devs ruining what we all love.... but these recent changes have made the site almost completely unusable for me. I don't want to learn a new and IMO shittier layout. Fix it back. Now. Fuck =/
@planetsareoverrated I think you and the rest of the YT community would agree that 10 times out of 10, a video that was rated 3 stars or less with the old system was completely terrible and not worth watching, no? I just want a way to filter out videos like that. And for the record, I think planets are way underrated ;-).
Have you considered the possibility that the reason you think climate change is BS is that corporations have done a good job of corrupting public opinion on the matter? I suggest focusing on facts rather than media, in general really.
how does youtube take a five point rating system and make it a two point system? what about an older video that had a 3 star rating? where would that put it? thumbs up or down? or is it possible that my math just plain sucks?
@defect530 you could take the number of star ratings a person has and their overall star rating to figure out a ratio of the stars, and then find the same ration if all you can input is 0's and 1's so someone with a 4 star rating with 100 people rating it would have 80 up votes and 20 down votes someone with a 1 star rating and 1000 people rating it would have 800 down votes and 200 up votes.
@Ipoonthecasbah isnt prejudging it off others ratings forming an opinion before you watch it? I understand the new layout sucks. but if anything it makes you watch a movie before prejudging it.
@Ipoonthecasbah if you click the down arrow next to the view count it'll tell you how many thumbs it got. It takes 24+ hrs for the ratings to show up though. You should join the beta so you can provide input.
Something that absolutely disgusts me about this graft and bribery etc has to do with charities. Earlier today I watched a video that was designed to get me (and others) to donate money so they could bring clean drinking water to places that desperately need it. The problem as I saw it began with the map of the world with little red dots all over it showing where they have already drilled new wells. Every single dot was in countries that have a military. So they spend hundreds of millions or billions of dollars on tanks and jet fighters and guns and bombs etc while their citizens are dying of water borne diseases that can easily be avoided simply by drilling a well and installing a pump. If they simply took the money they spend on their military for one year they could drill enough wells to provide safe clean drinking water for every person in their countries. Bam! Done! Problem solved! They would no longer need money from the kind hearted deep pocketed American public to provide clean water to their citizens. How about the UN and the world bank decide no more loans and grants to countries for the purpose of purchasing the instruments of war until all of their citizens have clean drinking water. We wouldn’t need american school children to gather cans and bottles and donations to send money to this charity so they can travel around the world drilling wells for villages. Seriously how can we in the developed world allow these countries to continue to spend billions on military equipment while their children die every day of malaria, cholera, dysentery, typhoid, and a whole range of other illnesses. It’s evil pure and simple. Thank you
@Ipoonthecasbah under the video is a box with a dropdown option, under that window, is a thumbs up with the word "like" behind it, next to that is a thumbs down. and then next to that is a window with 2 bars, in the case of this video, one bar is long and the one below it is short. that's the like/dislike. that's what you can go by now. so 4 stars was something you thought worth watching. think if the dislikes is higher then 10 % of likes, you wont like to watch it. figure out something.
Fuck youtube. I used to be able to pre-judge these ted videos based on their rating. Pretty much anything rated lower than 4 stars wasn't worth checking out. Is there still a way to do that? Not that this video is bad, but fuck this new layout.
@1schwererziehbar1 I have, and his "sources" are either nonexistent, taken out of context or unrelated to the point he's making. you shouldn't take everything at face value, research things before you prop them up as a source of it's own.
@Ipoonthecasbah there is an extension to the browser called "chrome" that will change the look of youtube so that you so the stars as usual. Rest of youtube-"upgrades" are still fuckedup though.
So if your follicles die during male pattern baldness, do your eyebrows go into overdrive after a certain age... and, if they do, can we harvest and transplant those cells into the areas where you're losing your hair?
it's sad to know that there are corrupts everywhere in the world.... but some day everything will change..... someone will take them down to hell... hehe

This is really interesting if you've ever been confronted with it. Respect to this man, I admire his tenacity.
So much.
Behind every fortune a crime, behind every crime, 2 criminal lawyers + the judge!

This is so important for the world, yet in 10 years it’s had only about 50k views. Why so little interest?
The amount of people on medication like Prozac it just makes you feel like not giving a f&@k
@@margaretgallacher1206 This in combination with complete algorithim suppression on videos like these lol

He didn’t say he bribed people, he saw it happening. He describes how wrong it is.

I totally agree with this guy. Corruption may never be eradicated
Yes we can pretty much control individuals and know which character attributes are suited for careers with power
what i got from this is. the machine is moving. cannot stop, better keep up.
Someone email this to David Cameron please 😄
Eigen is a champion, Those who don't pay bribes should be supported by outlawing corruption at all levels.
I notice that the two top rated comments are about the new layout. Couldn't agree more.
People like Mr. Eigen, I believe, are the future of business; not this bulldozer like ideals of management.
@audadvnc You just convinced me that the biggest problem with exposing the corrupt is cynicism.
