Just a little bit of advice Choc. Peach's shield only protects her teammates around her and when one of her teammates is protected and gets hit, they will take damage but only a little bit and the rest of the damage will hurt Peach. It's useful because she has alot of health and she can take alot of hits for the team.
Another fun trick is that if you have rabbid peach and regular peach on the same team, you can combo protection with Rabbid Peach’s healing, and that will also get shared around, essentially bringing everyone to full health if everyone is under protection
I like to roll with rabbid Peach and Luigi for a good all-around team, with rabbid peach’s abilities nearly guaranteeing survival if upgraded and luigi’s long-range attack and sentry being useful for removing stuff with efficiency. I didn’t notice how useful M-power was until world 4, though. regrets.
In the sequel it's still a bit like the grid system since they can't actually move through the whole course, they still have a limited movement but it's interesting to see how different it'll be

Rabbid Luigi: Very good with status moves against enemies, not good with damage. Rabbid Mario: Rabbid Mario is all about damage, pretty much use him if you want a strong attacker. Apparently some of the music in Sparks of Hope is gonna be composed by Yoko Shimomura, who also did the music for Mario RPG. I’m personally very excited for it due to that alone!
Just wanted to say I found Luigi to do almost everything and can usually carrying missions, especially ‘get to goal’ ones… But he’s not a face tanker and that’s ALL You do so-
Those upgrades on the skill trees to increase the power and range of certain abilities is not to be under-estimated. Alongside that, there's secret chapters in chapters 1-3, and lots of secrets to get more power orbs for your skill trees. Certainly recommended, since the final world is *exceptionally* hard.
7:37 I wish I knew this video existed a month ago, I could’ve helped a lot. But for anybody that plays this game and for @Choctopus; You’ll need to focus on upgrading the skill tree it helps a lot. It’s not just about the weapons what about the techniques used to defeat the enemies. Ex: all the Reaction Shots can be Upgraded and All Players Have Advantages and Disadvantages to them, which make you have to think about how to properly use them in battle. For anyone that still plays I can try to find a video of the advantages and disadvantages of each character Happy Playing! 🙃
I really hope he's using the skill tree, he also needs to buy the most powerful weapons that are available if he has enough coins.oh yea, upgrade all of rabbid yoshi shield's abilities so his shield can't take damage twice. And the final world pretty tough
Always theorized that the longer the Rabbids are in costumes, the longer the costumes traits become part of the Rabbid albeit slightly altered. For example Mario is a kind and strong hero who doesn’t boast, but Rabbid Mario is also the same but primarily likes to show off and flex his muscles in Sparks of Hope. Along with picking up traits of the costumes, they also learn the languages each costume is inspired from.
The worst glitches I've ever seen when playing are the camera clipping through the terrain when the camera tracks some kills. Also Luigi standing sideways on a pipe and using the cover in the opposite direction.
the worst ones I've seen are giant blocks of terrain that aren't supposed to be there being there, and there's this one challenge in the 1st world that it always crashes on
@@mustarddrinker38 I also forgot to mention that I replayed the last boss of the game once; and Mario was the only one that wasn’t there. It looked like everyone was talking to nothing.
I really like they they are “sort of” dropping the grid as it feels much more like divinity 2 and that is- by a huge margin- my favorite turn-based rpg of all time
16:54 Speaking of, in the sequel we'll be able to remove Mario from the team. So glad they changed that, in this game it really limited team composition and playstyles.
Peach's protection only covers the other hero's, not her and when the heros are damaged, peach also takes the damage. Since luigi has low health, keep him at long range since he is a sniper.
Hey choc, for world 4, I would recommend putting and upgrading the two best characters in the game on your team. Those being Rabid Mario and Luigi. Remember to strategically use their ability’s or you may as well not use them at all edit:also peach is the worst character. Sorry to burst your bubble simps
Luigi has the most movement, second best damage and longest range. Rabbid mario has the best damage using magnet dance to attract foes and killing them all using his high damage weapons, he also has the best critical effects with stone and vampire and I almost forgot his boom dash. Just to clarify
on that note rabbid luigi also is a good swap for when luigi isn't useful for a stage - rabbit luigi has high late game potential due to his high elemental chances on both of his weapons, which can disrupt foes in difficult locations. he also has high survivability with the vamp dash and being able to avoid status with his shield. this means that in maps where regular luigi fails due to low hp and rough movement compatibility with rabbid mario, rabbid luigi succeedes in being able to go around with rabbid mario.
Sentries are crazy useful because they can be destroyed, and enemies usually prioritize destroying the sentry over killing your team. Any fire directed at a sentry is fire that's not on the rest of your party. Hope this advice helps.
Not gonna lie the spooky area is a vibe check for the game. Had to go back when I had better gear to get the best results for the chapters. However I'm Definitely hyped for the sequel for this challenging and satisfying game.
man, im glad Mario + Rabbids is getting a lot hype, ive just started my second playthrough (with the first playthrough waaay back at 2017) and boy ammi so happy to re-experience it again!
hey choc as a tip for the game if you encounter mushrooms and you need healing for mario you can reset the hability tree and upgrade to have the healing mushrooms thing and after picking up the mushroom you can reset it again and put whatever upgrades you had
Choctopus here is a very useful tip when you are running a game with Mario and Luigi you will have to use Mario’s hero sight and Luigi’s steely stare you can upgrade Mario’s hero sight to do 2 hits and Luigi’s steely stare 3 hits every pro I assume uses this technique
You should use Luigi. He will obliterate with his long range and high damage. Just keep him outa range of the enemy. Luigi has the lowest hp in the game.
If you have the clear jump ability in the skill tree you can clear annoying super effects like honey, ink, stone and others by jumping on your teammates. Another tip is to use rabbit Mario's magnet dance into his hammer while boosted by normal Mario's M-power, making sure to dash into every enemy you can. Last tip is that Luigi's long range and high damage makes it so that you can deal with smashers with out the risk of them catching up to you, and maxing out his steely stare from shooting once to three times is really OP.
Team recommendation: Definitely have Rabbid Peach for a Healer. Peach does protect, but while it does have your heroes take less damage, Peach takes the damage instead, so not a good option. Also, getting behind cover is crucial, especially during the later and harder battles like these. The enemies have a lot more mobility than you think, and will do anything to flank you. So I recommend having Rabbid Peach, Mario (of course) and anyone else of your choice (except for Peach). Rabbid Luigi is a decent hero, but he does terrible damage. I highly suggest using Rabbid Mario as the third hero. This is just a suggestion though. You can do whatever :) Edit: Also Choc, if you ever have too much trouble you can always have extra health.
I switch up my teams a lot so I make sure everyone is prepared. Early game, he's not that great but Rabbid Luigi is actually really good late game because his weapons have a very high chance for super effects. Furthermore, if you upgrade it, he has the highest dash damage in the game. At max level, he can do 160 damage on a dash! He can only hit two targets with a dash at most, but any more than that would be super broken for hit and run tactics. Other than his weapon base damage being not so great he's pretty good.
For me, I now use Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Luigi on defeat all battles (or any other “defeat” battles) and Mario, Rabbid Yoshi/Rabbid Peach (if on a later world), and Luigi in reach areas and escorts. Now that I have beaten the game, Rabbid Luigi can Stone any enemy with his bworb, while Rabbid Peach heals. Rabbid Yoshi and Luigi have the best mobility in the game, which is why they’re so useful in reach areas and escorting. It all depends on your playstyle.
@@phantomy2034 rabbid luigi is amazing after beating the game. You can unlock 2 bworbs with 100% Vamp or Stone, but Stone is preferably better. His vamp dash is also useful. Plus he can negate Super Effects with his barrier.
@@DarknesstheHedgehog6 I’m just saying, Peach isn’t very useful to me as she only has a small range of healing unlike rabbid peach. Also her protection technique is completely useless because she gets hit too. If she works for you cool.
My spooky trails has corrupted so much that OBJECT MODELS occasionally glitch in and out. I will never forget the time when Rabbid Luigi was encased in a solid cover block.
I’m so hyped for SOH! Can’t wait for Bowser, it’s such a shame we’re using Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi because those two are my favorite :( Still super excited! You should do the DK DLC after this series!
Still waiting for Choc to learn how to use the actual legend Rabbid Mario with that fat magnet dance hammer combo (also peach's protection doesn't negate damage she takes damage for her teammates so she's literally just your tank and healer)
"I'd play this as a tabletop game." Funny you should mention that. I'm actually working on a board game that I often explain as being mechanically similar to this game. Turn based, each character has abilities they can use, abilities go on cooldown, etc. I actually started playing this game to get an idea about how my board game could feel. The win-con is different, and you can use as many abilities as you wish (given they're off cooldown), but the idea is more-or0less the same as the PvP (I plan on putting it up on Kickstarter before the end of the year, mostly to help pay for some of the parts. I only plan to make 1 copy, for myself and my friends, but if I get enough funding, I might make multiple). Speaking of the PvP, you should try it with someone. It's just a "defeat all enemies" mission, but you only have 3 actions on your turn. Moving, attacking, and using abilities are all actions. And yes, I would love it if you made some TTRPG content.
something i really like about the game is that the cutscenes change based on what three characters you have on, if thats not dedication then i dont know what is
Don't use honey on Mario's hammer, use bounce. To get ride of the bad rabbids hero sight, use a sentry to get rid of it. I have completed this whole game and 100%ed it
The best squad for the game is Mario, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach. Rabbid Luigi gets a nice power spike toward the end of the game, so he is also usable
My most successful team is Mario, Luigi and rabbid Luigi. Just dash enemies with rabbid Luigi to vamp them while trying to get to safety and using vamp shots to vamp even more, using it to heal any damage taken (run with shield up so hero sight enemies deal less damage). Luigi can pick off enemies from far away and send out sentries to distract enemies (great for smashers, since it explodes when killed and deals damage). Genuinely has gotten me through some ridiculous battles
When rabbit fishing was just shooting the mid boss in the cutscene, I was just like "yes, kill him" and I stayed at that scene for an hour before moving on
Tip : unless you are sure others can kill them afterwards, it is a horrible idea to use a hammer with the honey effect. Most times the enemy will be able to counterattack instantly.
To be fair, those hydration jugs are made under the assumption you drank nothing else. A lager or lemonade still counts towards hydration, type pending.
Quick note, peach is more of a tank and healer on the side whereas rabbid peach is a sole healer. She can also use sentries, which can trigger villain sights and essentially waste their shots.
Dude here Is a tip. Mario and the rabbit crew can purify teamates from statuses by bouncing on them. So mario jumps on inked luigi and luigi will no longer be inked
And another tip (yes I have the game let me help) if the battle is off reach the zone, use someone who can move a lot like rabbid yoshi and if you escolt someond luigi by the movement, for enemies with A LOT of health use peach or rabbid Mario to end them fast, and the centinels are a good distraction it can defend you from reaction shots
If (when) you start getting clapped in the final area. Remember that you can replay older missions for a better score, which gives you bunches of coins. Also, look closely at how you spend orbs. You can reset them willy nilly, so customize your skill tree for what you think would be useful for any specific level
the fear of the smashers is a good fear, because it means you're never gonna take them lightly anymore. however, don't get too paradoid about them, you need to be calm and collected when facing a bear, i mean, a bear, i mean a smasher.

Remember the skill tree! All characters get there own skill points even new ones! It is really useful
peach's attack was so strong that it broke reality
My spooky trails has corrupted so much that OBJECT MODELS occasionally glitch in and out. I will never forget the time when Rabbid Luigi was encased in a solid cover block.
Peach's protection only protects her teammates, splitting the attack damage (I believe) 40%-60% between the teammate she's protecting and herself.
Damn, you skipped the whole Tom-Phan song? Its the best part of the boss.
Vampire and stone are just so broken it's nuts.
I’m so hyped for SOH! Can’t wait for Bowser, it’s such a shame we’re using Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi because those two are my favorite :(
Still super excited! You should do the DK DLC after this series!
Hi I love this episode and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome and you are funny
Ngl, I didn't really play Mario + Rabbids all that much, but from watching you I started playing it a lot more recently
Still waiting for Choc to learn how to use the actual legend Rabbid Mario with that fat magnet dance hammer combo (also peach's protection doesn't negate damage she takes damage for her teammates so she's literally just your tank and healer)
The way Peach screams Mario when she dies, it sounds like they use the same Peach voice line from Mario Sunshine when she got grabbed by Bowzer Jr.
Choc: i like the spooky levels in Mario
Me: that’s my opinion with Mario desert levels
Upgrade rabbid luigis vamp dash, and then he'll be insanely OP, mario, luigi, rabbid luigi is the best team imo
Peach is also arguably the worst character in the game, unfortunately, even though there are certain situations where she is very useful
"I'd play this as a tabletop game."
Funny you should mention that.
Amazing!
something i really like about the game is that the cutscenes change based on what three characters you have on, if thats not dedication then i dont know what is
I’m starting to think Chocto should play the Mario and Luigi series.
Part of Mrs tempted to draw the playable Rabbids characters- Like change Rabbid Mario’s moustache into some cute lil black patterns or something
In sparks of hope, you no longer have to have Mario in the party
I have a feeling that Choctopus will better at the donkey kong dlc
True.

“I know, THEY’RE NEXT.”
I WAS QUITE LITERALLY WATCHING YOUR EPISODE 2 FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THEN I SEE THIS. THANK YOU GOD
Hi
Tip : unless you are sure others can kill them afterwards, it is a horrible idea to use a hammer with the honey effect. Most times the enemy will be able to counterattack instantly.
Will you promise to remember me when you hit 1 million?
Let's hope you also do a playthrough on sparks of hope and the dlc too
You should go through the co-op missions on side quest
Tabletop content sounds really fun! Especially with the boiz from Sidequest
Rabbid Yoshi joining the top tier favorites
To be fair, those hydration jugs are made under the assumption you drank nothing else. A lager or lemonade still counts towards hydration, type pending.
I think the game broke because the burn status combined with the small space that enemy was put in broke the camera somehow
I don't know why this game is so hard, Chocolate Octopus, but it totally gets easier in the next/ last world
It doesn’t
I know, that was sarcasm
The final boss is just soo easy lol/j
@@nightmareriddenlibrarian2924 well for some people it isn’t (not me though)
@@ordersquid38 I was kidding , that thing whooped my ass
My only quote for this game is " there are no missclicks, only happy little axedents
9:12 look how peach ducks her spinal column is broken
If you didn't know, steam has a game called Tabletop Simulator which allows you to emulate many tabletop games, as well as custom games
Little disappointed that you didn't react to the Phantom roast but really good gameplay netherless!
We cut it but it was actually amazing lol
@@Choctopus Just Saw!
Nice! Thank you King 👑💖
Zamn that rabbids be hittin' these airshot
Choc thinking about Bowser being playable in Mario rpg.
*Laughs in Bowser's Inside Story*
If (when) you start getting clapped in the final area. Remember that you can replay older missions for a better score, which gives you bunches of coins. Also, look closely at how you spend orbs. You can reset them willy nilly, so customize your skill tree for what you think would be useful for any specific level
the fear of the smashers is a good fear, because it means you're never gonna take them lightly anymore.
however, don't get too paradoid about them, you need to be calm and collected when facing a bear, i mean, a bear, i mean a smasher.
