I remember the time he was having a tent meeting at the Fairgrounds in San Jose CA. My parents took my little brother Mario for Oral Roberts to lay hands on him. Mario couldn't talk without stuttering . I remember that night when mom took my little brother , stood in line with him. And when Oral Roberts asked my mom about Mario . She told him then he laid hands on him and when he asked God to loosen his touge and the stutter to stop. I remember my little brother talking so clearly , hearing the man of God declare to my mom . Your boy is healed. At the time it really didn't hit me, God used this man of to heal my little brother. He was around 5 and now his 61 and his still healed. Even to day when ever I see or hear Oral Roberts I get emotional because it always takes me back to night. I'll always remember and never forget God's servant . I witnessed and seen personally he is true Man of God. You can say what you want but you can't judge against a real miracle. My little brother Mario is one of those Miracles. I thank God for this man's strong faith and obedience to our Lord Jesus.

My mother was healed in her legs and able to walk by Jesus through Oral Roberts.
I had rheumatic fever and scarlet fever at the same time. I was 4 years old and was dying. My Mother and her twin sister carried me to Brother Oral Robert's tent meeting and he prayed over me. When he touched my forehead, the fever left me and I was totally healed by Jesus. I am now 76 years old and have a strong heart with no murmur, which doctors said if I survived, I would have a murmur and weak heart the rest of my life! PRAISE GOD, I WAS HEALED IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Connie Murphy
This was in Des Moines Iowa and the tent was set up on the Capitol grounds. Oral did have the gift of healing. Praise The Lord!

Praise God! God healed my sister too from rheumatic fever and scarlet fever. The doctors told mother not to worry about sending her to school be she'd never live to need the education. God healed her and she married and had a son, and lived to be 72. Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever!!!

The very day the doctors gave him up to die, God instantly and totally healed my father of TB in 1950 in a tent meeting in Atlanta GA when Oral Roberts prayed for him. Dad got up off the stretcher used to bring him into the meeting and testified to being healed. He came home and never was bothered by TB again. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday and today and forever.

Oral Roberts was the real deal. In 1977 I attended a 3-day "layman's seminar" at ORU, all expenses paid by ORU. On the last day Oral held a healing service in which he laid hands on each of all 1500 who attended. When he touched me I felt God's power tangibly. In 1980 when my mother was dying of lung cancer we got two letters from Oral. These were not form letters with "auto-pen" signatures; they were specific, personal, HAND SIGNED letters saying Oral was praying for my mother. I still have the letters. During my mother's last hospitalization Oral had his top aide, Mr. Ridenour, phone my mother in the hospital on her birthday and pray with her for 45 minutes. It meant a lot to my mother. She died just 28 days later. NOT EVERYONE GETS HEALED; NO ONE KNOWS WHY. But I tell you--Oral Roberts was the real deal.

I remember we would come home after Sunday night church and my grandparents would turn on the television to watch Oral Roberts in the late 1950s.
Roberts thinks the man with the “unclean spirit” was named “Legion”. Legion was the name of the demon that possessed him and not the name his parents gave him.

I grew up listening to Oral Roberts and then Richard Roberts. These 2 men are great healers and lovers of the Lord. When i was a senior in high school in 1968, I was blessed to go on a field trip to Oral Roberts University. We went up in the Prayer Tower. I have never felt closer to God than standing there that day at 17 years old. 🙏 ❤

MANY ARE CALLED as the Bible teaches (Matthew 22:14) but few are chosen . This means there are a lot of saved,healed,and called Christians out there - but in their hearts they have said 'no' to doing what God has told them to do (Luke 6:46). Only a few (like Brother Roberts) have said 'yes' - and they are God's chosen servants.
If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.(Luke 9:26).

This world does not need another false teacher. Sorry, Roberts may have spoken a lot of good things, but he pushed the false prosperity Gospel, proclaiming a myriad of people healed who never were.
I loved and respected Oral Roberts. I started going to his annual meetings he had at ORU in the 80's and 90"s at the Mabee center and attended for about 9 years. I learned so much about serving the Lord at these meetings, some of the best Bible teachers in the world would come from all around the world to fellowship and teach.
I went to Oral's funeral service and it was powerful. He was one of God's modern day prophets. He built around a half a billion dollars in buildings in Tulsa and those buildings are still being used for the glory of God.
I believe with all my heart that OR was of a purer heart during his tent meeting days. While Jesus the Christ is the same yesterday, today, forever - Heb 13:8, the same CANNOT be applied to fallen man shapened in iniquity. I myself graduated from ORU with a Magna Cum Laude, class of '90. Unfortunately, he sold out to the Enemy as time progressed, and didn't make it. Mammon became his god, and ORU, a Freemason institution. Not Christian by far. Just because GOD used a human instrument to be a blessing in our lives @ one time, doesn't mean that that instrument remains infallible.

Jesus himself used healing as part of His kingdom. But he didn't do it to sensationalize himself like many TV evangelists. He often told the healed to tell nobody. I think the TV evangelists often do it for fame and money. Sensationalism.

And if they were doing the "greater works" Jesus promised His disciples, it would be unquestionably clear. But not one of these hucksters have made a withered arm whole as yet. If this supposed outpouring of healing is "here again", then provide some video footage of actual, unquestionable miracles being performed on par with those Jesus and the Apostle performed. How about a withered arm made whole in an instant of time? How about some war veteran who lost an eyes in combat? Let's see that glass eye replaced with a new eye of flesh. I bet you can't come with any footage that truly shows the suspension of natural law, and it's because the supposed signs and wonders stuff we are seeing on TV and at meetings similar to those put on by huckster Benny Hinn, is all a bunch of fabricated bunk. Now, I'm not doubting God, or questioning God's ability. What I am questioning is the veracity of the claims being made by false teachers within Christendom. Yes, I saw Oral when he first went on TV. A long ago. Sadly, he got into making a LOT of "money"; as most do preachers today. And may Jesus has mercy on them...and all the others...Such a shame.

what about the millions he demanded from people to provide stating God was going to kill him if he didn't get the money? What about the greed and luxury lifestyle he adopted? what about the sinful state of him, his family, his hospital (which failed), etc.? I believe he started as an anointed man of God but allowed Satan to take over through greed and sexual sin. I live in Oklahoma, I grew up saturated in this.

My parents went to one of his tent meetings like this, and they told me that once the cameras were turned off, ending the local broadcast, Oral walked off the stage, leaving all those people waiting in line for prayer. This proved to lots of people what a showman he was, all for the money.

The ushers had already passed the plate after their guilt trip shakedown, making use of the Old Testament Law, of course, and also pointing at what Abraham did in giving Melkizedek a tenth of all...although they failed to mention that Abraham gave a tenth of all the SPOILS of war, not from Abraham's own personal wealth that was still located up in northern Canaan. There was nothing for Oral do get from that meeting, so he walked off the stage after having already fleeced the crowd, and the cameras were turned off. The show was over!

This man doesn't preach the Gospel. He is all theatrics. There were people like this in Paul's time. Paul was a short, balding, bow-legged little Jewish man who spoke softly. People doubted his apostleship because there were already a lot of tall, theatrical Oral Roberts types around. But unlike them, Paul proclaimed the actual Gospel of Jesus Christ. He helped many overcome sin and live holy. He didn't beat around the bush and try and sound spiritual. And God used Him, and no one could question it was the power of God.

-> When the demonic in this man : not only proclaimed Jesus of Nazareth to be the Son of The Living God, but also (in fear, being knowledgeable about His authority) stated; "are You here to punish us before "our time"?
THAT WAS A CONVERSATION BETWEEN JESUS AND THOSE DEMONIC "FORCES" !!
So when, within that conversation, The Lord Jesus asked ; what's your name ? It was directed to the demonic forces !! And THEY answered ; " legion, for we are with many" !!
When they were driven out of the man and were distroyed in the pigs, the man had been set free, wanting to follow Jesus Christ...

Maybe Oral Roberts should study his Bible more then he would know that Jesus commanded us not to swear under oath and that our word is our bond.
"But I say to you, do not make an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God; or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black. So how about the soldiers officers and men who swear to protect their countries and borders? Do have soldiers in your country? Do they sin? Do you have government leaders who swear in and they rule over you and you submit yourself to them? If you do submit to them , it means you're submitting to their sin of taking an oath, right? No on the contrary, Jesus instructed His Disciples not to be like the Pharisees.
Our standards are far higher than that of the world, or at least it should be.
Thus when the Court tells you to swear by GOD's Holy Name, you should simply say no, my yes is my yes, and my no is my no, anything else is from the evil one.
Old Oral Roberts should know this instead of play acting like the Pharisees did.
