- There are a lot of AirPods Pro 2 review video out there. In this video, I am testing the microphone performance in picking up my voice during a phone or video calls. Can it filter out environmental sound on my end, so that I can do a high quality phone call with it.

Thank you very much. I already have the pro 1, but never, never really can do any phone call without a complain for the other one in the line... I really think this mic sucks; but now I can hear you clearly in Pro 2, maybe it's time to try to sell this ones an buy the new model.

yeah, mics are terrible. i've found that in the car while driving people can't hear me, so terrible
the actual bud sound quality is next level, anc is awesome!!!
but i was hoping that the mic would be like my jabra headset (i can dive around in the car and everyone can hear me still)
I always use my plantronics or Jabra when possible on calls
Thanks a lot. So, please, just to be sure: if I buy AirPods Pro for zoom meetings and I use noise cancelling, I won’t hear the ambiance noise, but the people I am talking to, through my AirPods mic, will still hear that ambience noise, right?
Yes a little just like the video. And it also seems when he was in amc mode, the mic was quieter on his voice
yeah ANC Mode is purely for listening and music not communicating

Thank you for the video, can you tell me how could I record a video using the EarPods’ audio instead of the iPhone? I tried changing a few settings, but there was no success and the audio recorded comes from the iPhone
I use zoom to do the recording. Otherwise MoviePro works but it’s a paid app

I am a little worried about it, I wana switch to airpods pro gen 2 from Bose qc2 as those have terrible call quality in noisy places. I always switch to phone in shuch situations.

There is also modes on the iPhone (via the control center) where you can adjust mic noise cancellation on a call. The menu only appears when you are on a FaceTime call or a zoom call but it would be interesting to see the differences between voice isolation, wide spectrum and normal mode with these airpod pro 2

AirPods Pro 2 mic honestly sucks and it’s muffled despite being brand new. All the content online about it is managed not to let this go out publicly viral
All of the AirPods mics have sucked it’s crazy. So lame. I walk around the city and ride the bus a lot and no one can ever understand me using my AirPods Pro 1. Sad to see that the second gen is just as bad

Have you tried any other brand? If yes, which one are you using and how do you like them? Currently I'm using the SoundPetes Air3 Deluxe HS and love them. They really as advertised and have LDAC codec which is awesome if you listen to hi-fi audio like FLAC or music from Tidal etc
