- This is the first ICF pool we've completed with Ecofinish, its taken a good bit of R and D to get the installation process streamlined and now we are very comfortable saying this is the premiere way to build a pool in the modern era. And this particular pool has so many facets that you may want to employ in upper echelon pools in the future. We explore this pools 90' of infinity and wet edge, gutters, catch basins, service crawl, acrylic wall, gfrc coping, subterranean equipment room, this pool literally has it all!

I am blown away by this design. Most pools are a nightmare to maintain if anything goes wrong, and this is basically as accessible as an above-ground pool. Bravo.

Great pool!! Love all the forethought put into service. This pool is an absolutely perfect candidate for Microplasma ozone. You wouldn’t believe the clarity and ease of service. I have a huge 30k plus gallon pool with weir wall and this ozone system has made it into a new pool. Client loves it and I’m much happier maintaining it for them now.

One way to solve the humidity in that equipment room would be a simple sliding window set across the access to the gutter/spill access. This would seal it off, but leave it accessible for maintenance. Wonderful build, so many ideas for one I am dreaming of building in the next few years. (Crosses-fingers)

You could do that 2” Acrylic Wall with a 1” thick piece of transparent aluminum.
beautiful job and well thought out; accessibility is fantastic. did you use fabform bag for ALL of the ICF footers? only other suggestion would be to label all of those pipes and circuits (princess yachts does this in their engine rooms) that way who ever inherits this in the far future knows the flow and use of each one of those pipes valves etc etc.

WoW. This is just amazing! I’m building my family’s new house in the spring and I am wanting to do an icf pool. I installed pools in highschool. I was wondering if I could message you to bounce a couple ideas off? I’m up in Canada, and there aren’t any guys near me doing this kind of work.
Wet edge access is great. Take it a step further next time and make it an indoor lounge, nude basking area away from prying eyes and enjoy the cool, trickling water all around you that otherwise goes unnoticed.

This house and pool are a multi year project lol, poured the structure over a year ago and I didn’t have a channel yet but I took lots of pics, I may try to do an accompanying vid to show the nuts and bolts, the back wall and floor of the gutter were done with hdo plywood forms and our gates cam locks we use on our architectural walls, pretty heady but ultimately not to complicated, just have to keep the stripping in mind so u don’t end up with stick forms!

Awesome pool, I am actually in the middle of a ICF pool build and want to do the ecofinish. I have the walls done and plan on waiting till spring to do the finish. Would love to see what your process is to get the ICF ready for ecofinish. Also can you recommend an installer, im in West Virginia right on the border of Ohio and am having a hard time finding an installer. Thanks.

@@cuttingedgehomes9251 I'm interested in doing a simple simi in ground 4 to 5' deep no more than 40' long pool. I've been researching above ground pools and most of what I'm seeing for the size I want, they need to be drained and stored for the winter. That seems to me like a waste of a precious resource. Not to mention a lot of work. I've just now came across ICF. WOW! This is a game changer! I'm really digging y'alls videos. Keep up the good work.

Lately my mic has been acting up after mic check lol, and the camera people are not usually camera people so I make do with what the jobsite gives me…. Hoping to up my production a bit soon!
Try to turn the gain of your mic a bit lower and when editing you set a limiter to get it to zeroDB :) Then the cracking sound will be gone :)

Do you have a suggestion for keeping the ecofinish waterline clean? Ours looks very dirty, probably suncreen from the guests and alges, giving the pool a really gisgusting look with a dirty green area around the waterline.

I’m a diy guy and am just wondering. You must have the “catch basin” connected by piping to the main pool, both with different water levels… how do you prevent water leveling between both the pool and the catch basin? Many thx

why is water leaking from pipe under pool
It’s an air line that goes above grade, ground water can run on that pipe through the back retaining wall

The pool or the house? I’m not permitted to say with regard to the house, pool is probably 600k…. Depending on how much of the deck you are talking about…. That would cover at least all the subterranean plumbing access areas and equipment room

ICF,? I bet its way overpriced! I could do the exact same thing with forms, and have in my younger years. Or why not just Shot Crete? Its about selling overpriced foam blocks is all

Thank you, I shot it the day it was started up, there are plenty of other videos that feature this pool at a later and cleaner phase but I make vids all the time and some of them are in process, so hard to see how it ruins a vid to show something during construction…. The equipment wasn’t all set yet in this vid either…. It did win first place in icf magazines specialty use and people’s voice awards, dirty or not🤷🏻♂️
