Great job on the videos! Very informative, detailed, and provide each step. I am just a couple of months behind you on my 94 M edition, so this is a life saver! Leep 'em coming!!
Awesome stuff! I pulled my dash once a while back (not fun), but I wanna redo my carpet soon-and this time I wanna repaint my dash bar but it’s like so corroded I was totally gonna put it off as long as possible 🙄 anyway maybe you gave me that little push of motivation I need to knock it out in a weekend
It's weird, it's a Mercedes Benz part that I got for cheap on Amazon. amzn.to/3giMkNQ. It's a little small but they had about 6 in the bag even though I ordered 1, not sure if that was a mistake on their part or they always come like that. I stacked 3 on top of the normal Miata inner boot and put an r speed shift knob on top.
This is an 80/20 loop carpet similar to the style originally in the car. There were a ton of color options, I opted for this chocolate brown.

Not gonna lie, it's some work. But very rewarding when done! Good luck!
What shifter and boot is that looks really awesome would you have any links to it?

Do you notice a big sound difference with the top up?
It's not a massive difference but it was immediately noticeable. I tried to test with a sound meter and it seemed to drop by about 5-10 decibels.
Nice video
How much did the carpet costs?
Also where did you bought it?
It was from stockinteriors.com for about $220.
