I still have my Sansui DB9090. It was a nice amp with analog meters. But those three way toggle switches were noisy and can lose contact so that a left or right channel would lose signal.
@@doinsngoins my daughter is in Portland. Looking for someone that can work on it. I get distortion on it at times, drives me crazy. I had someone in Eugene work on it a few years ago and it was good for awhile. But it came back, finally bought a Rotel, but I want to keep the 9090 in the family.

I know I know it happens , there are places to just bite the bullet and send it off for a complete recap Audio Karma is a good source. this model is worth spending the money.
It is a work horse , I use AR9 Towers @ 8ohm , they are not efficient and this receiver drives them with ease. You will probably be ok with most any speaker , Try to find speakers capable of handling at a minimum 100 wpc max power rating, minimum. Not a requirement but its my experience.
I would not personally but it would work , if you must... don't play them hard and I would bypass your controls or run them flat , I also wouldn't play them for long periods of time. My personal preference I would not .
What a visually/aesthetically beautiful piece of hi fi!!!! I Can listen and watch Sansui reviews all day,,,still have my father's 331 receiver...only 12 watts RMS but sounds like modern 50 watts. Thanks for posting.
Just something beautiful about vintage or rather classic stereo equipment.

Easy fix , haven't had any issues after a good cleaning of all controls

Does the meters work if you are hooked up to a integrated amplifier???
If you were to un couple the preamp section the meters will not continue to work
