Mabel DID actually get really close to actually dying. Remember when Bill Cipher had the twins in his hand and was going "eeny meeny miney you" in order to decide which of them to kill? Bill's eye actually landed on a shooting star when he went to snap his fingers.
Dipper would need some heavy heavy therapy, that's for sure. Despite their arguing at times, it's obvious that he's extremely close to Mabel, and the fact that he apparently CAUSES Mabel's death would definitely break him. I'm kinda glad they didn't go this route.

Dipper would definitely be the saddest person between him, Stan, and Ford if Mabel died because (obviously) Mabel was Dipper's sister. Stan would miss all the good times he and Mabel had while at Gravity Falls, while Ford would feel very guilty for not spending more time with Mabel (he only spent a little bit of time with Mabel throughout the whole series).
If you guys remember in Weirdmeggodon part 3 Bill captures the kids and he says “I think I’m gonna kill one of them just for the heck of it, eenie, meenie, miney” then his eyeball flashes mabels shooting star then he said “YOU” I think that scene in that episode might’ve been a remnant of the concept of Mabel dying

We are talking about a company that is built on pinochio( children getting sold as slave donkeys), Lion king( a lion getting betrayed by his own brother for the throne like in the mediaval times not to mention that he gets eaten by his own army), a heck a lot of witches tricking woman to do evil deeds to them and racist propaganda through World War 2 so i don't think that would have been so dark for Disney.
Well Dipper originally snapped Dippy Fresh's neck. Why didn't they let him do that, Dippy Fresh is just an imaginary character. Also Mabel is just trying to replace her brother. I don't care if her brother doesn't share the same interest as her, he's still her brother. I will never replace my brother with someone someone better, because he's my brother and as annoying as he is, he's still my brother.

After watching this video I watched a scene from Part Three of Weirdmageddon, when Bill captures Dipper and Mabel decides that he was going to kill one of the twins. And precisely the one who was going to die was going to be Mabel until Ford (or Stan dressed as Ford) decides to surrender. From that moment I thought that the idea that Mabel was going to die had been around for a long time, and that would be something quite tragic.

"This would be too dark for Disney." Except that Disney already had this happen in another show. A show that was admittedly famous for showing blood and already being notably dark for a Disney show. Gargoyles. There is an episode that is especially grim and involves characters in a future timeline dying. Only we see it happen rather than just being told. Now when I say this episode is dark, I mean as an adult, this shit is DARK. It being a different timeline basically gave the team a "do anything you want" card. Times may have changed, but this is still something Disney aired before. I could imagine it being done again, and GF would have been the perfect show for it. I wonder if they actually asked or just assumed and gave up right away. I really want another Gargoyles.

If they have so many alternative ideas (like Mabel dying and Bill Cyphers song exc.) they should have a series called “alternative gravity falls” where they do ideas they could’ve or wanted to do but didn’t and make the episodes the way they wanted to in the first place. So they’re not adding any new gravity falls series so they can keep the original series ending. Everyone misses gravity falls so I think if they did that it would make people satisfied.
They definitely would if they could. But Disney owns it, including the characters, their likeness, the story, the whole damn fictional universe. Even if they had enough money to produce a spin-off without a big media company helping, they surely don't have enough to also buy the licenses from Disney. And most companies are not willing to stand up to Disney by helping them with that. It's just too expensive. We might get a movie, but it'd be produced by Disney if it happens. And they've already passed on that idea once, saying the show wasn't popular enough to make a movie. It's all about money. Gravity Falls has an intense fanbase, and almost everyone who sees it loves it, but it's not actually that popular. A company like Disney just doesn't have the financial incentives yet to do anything more with it right now. Which is a shame
Mabel was my favorite Gravity Falls character when I was younger, so if this actually aired, I don’t know what I would have thought! At first I thought it was supposed to happen during the show’s finale, and that would have been crazyy.

I remember a theory back before S2 aired that Mabel would die and Dipper would live due to Back to the Future. You see, the place where Doc showed off the Delorean was the Twin Pines Mall and when Marty first went back in time he took out one of the pine trees. When he came back, the mall was named the Lone Pine Mall due to there only being one pine tree.
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought of something completely different as to how Mabel died, and that involved Bill. When you think about it, a majority - if not, all - of the schemes we saw Bill conjure up in the show’s present day timeline (so excluding his interactions with Ford and anyone else before Dipper and Mabel arrived in Gravity Falls) backfired because of her. In “Dreamscaperers”, Mabel used her Nyarf gun to shoot the code to Stan’s safe out of Bill’s hand - which fell into the Bottomless Pit memory - before he could finish reading it to Gideon. She tired Bill out even more in “Sock Opera” to get him out of Dipper’s already exhausted body. Then she got the unicorn hair to protect the Shack from Bill in “The Last Mabelcorn”. She even sprayed Bill’s eye in Weirdmagaddeon 3 to distract him. To me, it makes sense that Bill would want to do away her. That’s emphasized by the fact that in Weirdmaggedon 3, he sprials through Dipper and Mabel’s symbols when deciding which of them to kill, and he lands on Mabel’s shooting star but gets interrupted by Ford.
I would NEVER want mabel to die she's like one of the most important characters! Like, who would spray paint bill in the eye? AND who use the grappling hook to save dipper in the episode where giddion gets arrested?? AND who would grab the time orb while dipper is distracting blendin????OH AAAAANNNND who would punch the nome off of dippers face in the first episode???
I do think alternate timelines existing within the canonicity of the show could be interesting, and I would enjoy this concept being in a comic. I do have a couple questions though. How does Mabel die from knowing a code? How does the version of Dipper get to the past to warn his past self? Did Blendin have something to do with it? Why was Future Dipper bleeding that much? Sorry I tend to ramble on and I'm aware that there are no answers for now. But I would really like to find out. :)
I kinda wish they would do a podcast about Gravity Falls and have these kinds of things in it. They could do a plotline in a podcast about how Mabel dies in the future. She came close to dieing a few times in the show, same with Dipper, but I feel like she would be the more likely out of the two, only because Dipper is pretty paranoid and if anyone could bring her back, it would be him. Also, I will never forgive Disney for not helping Alex Hirsch with another show he thought up called the Sea Grunks. It's basically Stan and Ford doing old man adventures out at sea, possibly an occasional cameo from Dipper and Mabel, and since I watched Gravity Falls with my dad, I thought it would be fun to watch something like that together. There's a video of the opening on TH-cam somewhere, I just don't remember what the video is called. I'll forgive Disney when they air the Sea Grunks. Until then, Disney is dead to me. Also, that movie, Mitchel's vs. the machines, is awesome, highly recommend it for anyone with Netflix. It is hilarious! Well Dipper originally snapped Dippy Fresh's neck. Why didn't they let him do that, Dippy Fresh is just an imaginary character. Also Mabel is just trying to replace her brother. I don't care if her brother doesn't share the same interest as her, he's still her brother. I will never replace my brother with someone someone better, because he's my brother and as annoying as he is, he's still my brother.

And at the end of the day, she's just like the fandom, not wanting the series to end, trying to cope by just avoiding the truth-

After watching this video I watched a scene from Part Three of Weirdmageddon, when Bill captures Dipper and Mabel decides that he was going to kill one of the twins. And precisely the one who was going to die was going to be Mabel until Ford (or Stan dressed as Ford) decides to surrender.
From that moment I thought that the idea that Mabel was going to die had been around for a long time, and that would be something quite tragic.
Dipper: I want to know all the secret of gravity falls!

I still get excited when I watch S1 finale, this show was incredible.
If mabel was dead in episode 1 of season 2 then here are changes
1: Grunkle Stan still forgot all the memories because she hasn't finished her scrapbook
2: Bill Cipher could have won without mabel.
3: Waddles is probably going to cry to death.
4: Dipper and Ford lost brains because they lost the dungeons game
5: The show would NOT be for kids and lose ratings
6: Crying.
7: Dipper could've died without her because of all the help from her.

Except that Disney already had this happen in another show. A show that was admittedly famous for showing blood and already being notably dark for a Disney show. Gargoyles. There is an episode that is especially grim and involves characters in a future timeline dying. Only we see it happen rather than just being told. Now when I say this episode is dark, I mean as an adult, this shit is DARK. It being a different timeline basically gave the team a "do anything you want" card.
Times may have changed, but this is still something Disney aired before. I could imagine it being done again, and GF would have been the perfect show for it. I wonder if they actually asked or just assumed and gave up right away. I really want another Gargoyles.

If they have so many alternative ideas (like Mabel dying and Bill Cyphers song exc.) they should have a series called “alternative gravity falls” where they do ideas they could’ve or wanted to do but didn’t and make the episodes the way they wanted to in the first place. So they’re not adding any new gravity falls series so they can keep the original series ending. Everyone misses gravity falls so I think if they did that it would make people satisfied.
They definitely would if they could. But Disney owns it, including the characters, their likeness, the story, the whole damn fictional universe. Even if they had enough money to produce a spin-off without a big media company helping, they surely don't have enough to also buy the licenses from Disney. And most companies are not willing to stand up to Disney by helping them with that. It's just too expensive. We might get a movie, but it'd be produced by Disney if it happens. And they've already passed on that idea once, saying the show wasn't popular enough to make a movie.
It's all about money. Gravity Falls has an intense fanbase, and almost everyone who sees it loves it, but it's not actually that popular. A company like Disney just doesn't have the financial incentives yet to do anything more with it right now. Which is a shame

You see, the place where Doc showed off the Delorean was the Twin Pines Mall and when Marty first went back in time he took out one of the pine trees. When he came back, the mall was named the Lone Pine Mall due to there only being one pine tree.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought of something completely different as to how Mabel died, and that involved Bill. When you think about it, a majority - if not, all - of the schemes we saw Bill conjure up in the show’s present day timeline (so excluding his interactions with Ford and anyone else before Dipper and Mabel arrived in Gravity Falls) backfired because of her.
In “Dreamscaperers”, Mabel used her Nyarf gun to shoot the code to Stan’s safe out of Bill’s hand - which fell into the Bottomless Pit memory - before he could finish reading it to Gideon. She tired Bill out even more in “Sock Opera” to get him out of Dipper’s already exhausted body. Then she got the unicorn hair to protect the Shack from Bill in “The Last Mabelcorn”. She even sprayed Bill’s eye in Weirdmagaddeon 3 to distract him.
To me, it makes sense that Bill would want to do away her. That’s emphasized by the fact that in Weirdmaggedon 3, he sprials through Dipper and Mabel’s symbols when deciding which of them to kill, and he lands on Mabel’s shooting star but gets interrupted by Ford.

I do think alternate timelines existing within the canonicity of the show could be interesting, and I would enjoy this concept being in a comic. I do have a couple questions though. How does Mabel die from knowing a code? How does the version of Dipper get to the past to warn his past self? Did Blendin have something to do with it? Why was Future Dipper bleeding that much? Sorry I tend to ramble on and I'm aware that there are no answers for now. But I would really like to find out. :)
I kinda wish they would do a podcast about Gravity Falls and have these kinds of things in it. They could do a plotline in a podcast about how Mabel dies in the future. She came close to dieing a few times in the show, same with Dipper, but I feel like she would be the more likely out of the two, only because Dipper is pretty paranoid and if anyone could bring her back, it would be him. Also, I will never forgive Disney for not helping Alex Hirsch with another show he thought up called the Sea Grunks. It's basically Stan and Ford doing old man adventures out at sea, possibly an occasional cameo from Dipper and Mabel, and since I watched Gravity Falls with my dad, I thought it would be fun to watch something like that together. There's a video of the opening on TH-cam somewhere, I just don't remember what the video is called. I'll forgive Disney when they air the Sea Grunks. Until then, Disney is dead to me. Also, that movie, Mitchel's vs. the machines, is awesome, highly recommend it for anyone with Netflix. It is hilarious!
