I feel like, in a discussion overloaded with "the sweats are complaining that everything is broken, but nerfing cars ruins the uniqueness of the game", your videos and strats really help counter that narrative and show that it's all just tools. Fundamentals rule the show

I’ve been grinding Fortnite all day, using your video as a guiding hand to help me get used to the new mechanics and I discovered that there’s beauty within the chaos of this season.
I actually won 3 of my 5 solo victories since the nerfs and the boogie bombs, still got most of my kills while in cars, but ended up winning outside of them. Also, I shot at some guy in my car at the end game, hit him only like twice for a lot of damage, and the other few shots somehow hit just the car, even though they were just as clearly directed right at the guy's head (in a sports car, with bulletproof tires, not elevated ones). That was the most ridiculous loss I ever had.
As someone who has really worked to hone their movement skills, mostly because I'm kinda not too good with aiming (but still practicing), this season has been an absolute blast. Fists +Thunderburst + Boom + Nitro + Flowberry is such a fun combo when you're trying to win without using cars. So many fun and interesting games due to how strategic you can be.
Agreed, the movement this season is excellent! There are some power positions on the map where cars can’t easily reach or shoot at. Movement items let you go up and down these spots and shred car users with your guns. I had a great endgame perched on a rock tower in the desert with a DMR, picking off all the other drivers!

The only thing I don't really care about this chapter is there's absolutely no room for real ranged fighting. Basically everyone either has a vehicle with a gun or they have the boom boom so it's impossible to snipe because the mini fire one shot they're already homing in on you.

Boogie Bombs are pretty effective also, can throw a whole team out of the car so you can attack or steal it!
Thanks for telling me about people how they try to take my car and drive it in storm to get me out and I will consider picking the spiked bumper over the cow one because this meta is anti build in general. To often I get freaked out when they steal my car.

My biggest + to my strat is hiding my car near a fight so I can get to it if I'm third partied. I did it once unintentionally and ever since, I've been setting up cars and hiding them strategically. ++ if I have the healing medallion, by the time I get to the car, I drive to the next hill to make them think I'm full running and swap to shoot them out of the air, swap back if you don't get enough damage off, move JUST far enough to be further than a fist dash, ebrake, swap when you're at a roll and finish them. Now they waisted their fists and sprint so they're full shambles

Im a new player. I got 17 eliminations mostly in cars or after damaging players first from cars. Played for two weeks and have a full time job.
is there a video on what to do when enemies just run up and get into your car? the difference if you're driving vs. when they steal your car with you in it. i feel like they have a plan both ways but i cant seems to be a step ahead to counter either situation.

I have been getting clapped really hard by vehicles this season. This video was extremely helpful and I actually feel confident when fighting against vehicles, thank you!
My trick to beating cars is to fight the cars at a distance where the grenade launcher and turret are not a problem and beaming them with the mythic combat at which actually 2 clips the mythic car and potentially the wagon the mythic hand cannon is also really good at dealing damage to cars as it does 110 each bullet which is about a tenth of their health pair that with the combat ar and u become a car destroyer
Also another fun trick to get away from enemies is to use fizz and nitro rings u go extremely far and if u pop a nitro u will have the momentum plus the nitro plue a little bit of fizz left to carry the momentum even farther
So bro, you finally came around and think this season is actually fun.
There's nothing wrong with a change of pace. I like it. My kids love it.
It's sitting at about a 6.5/10 for me but I have hope that new mechanics and gear will bring it to a 8/10

To all car users on ps4 console, is there a way to change which button makes me switch seats in cars?....right now it is bound to same button as the look around button so in battle if I get to aggressive and accidentally push the stick in while aiming around I switch seats...on cars, buses etc it deadly in the middle of a fight......I have found the way to swicth almost every button in the game but I see nothing on the switching seats button.......HELP....lol

Have you actually done a time test to see which is faster switching seats or getting out and back in? Because I'm controller it's technically only one more button press and there is a Little delay getting out before you can get back in
For 4 seaters it's much faster to exit and enter.
Awesome video thanks man!! Mythic AR + car question for DUOS @roles+loadouts. So should the gunner always use/get the mythic AR? I usually drive n carry gunner loadout. Main focus is survival 1st then @getting my copilot max elims since 1 of the 2 ppl I DUO w often is an aggressive push w/o saying anything type player. Lobbying 4em both to follow the way of the Shinobi! Hope they’ve watched this since I shared it w em, they need to smash the 👍 & gently press the subscribe button as well!!

Is there a reason why I can’t fire gun/grenade in passenger seat in solo mode. I try to change to passenger and it just puts me right back in drivers seat. WTH am I doing wrong!
Does the left side of your screen tell you what button to press? Are you just pressing it once? That's a weird bug, if it is one...

Correction: You can recharge fists by dropping the fists and picking up another set.
Are you sure that is true? I don't think that can be true.... I know if you swap fists for eachother it keeps the same timer. That would be game breaking.

I really don’t understand why they don't make 2 versions of the island for both builds and no builds. One version like they have now after this first nerf called Nitro Royale and another version that is just balanced extremely well. You could get wins on your record for either of the 4 game modes. You could base the competitions in the super balanced version of the mode for builds and no builds.
This way they would have been satisfying both ends of the player spectrum. All it would take is the different stats for either mode.
I thought this way back in the alien invasion season. They could have had a way toned down version where the spaceships were like they were after they merged the hell out of them.

Yeah same. I don’t necessarily hate it, but I literally just started playing FN in this last season, so I don’t have much to base my opinions on and right now the change, while staggering, is slightly annoying, I’m also chocking it up to the fact that I’m still learning the game. I play trios with my wife and daughter, it’s like our thing that we do, and they HATE the car meta. They’re not hardcore gamers, so this is all new to them, and they’d just gotten comfortable with the Hades chain and waterbending, and now this…And they also don’t like riding around in vehicles because they say it makes them carsick, and I have to drive because they’re not comfortable or confident in that either, so it’s been a challenge, but I keep reminding them it’s just a season. We’ll make it through!

I’m hoping that later updates this season will add items that counter cars in a rewarding way! The harpoon gun looks cool, and maybe the EMP will return with some tweaks to make it less punishing to cars than last season. I’m fine with car meta if there are fun and fair counters to deploy!

I hate how hideous PC gameplay always looks. I wouldn't even play if my game looked like this lol. Is it really worth it for a minor visibility advantage?
The game runs horribly on DX12 and DX11 on PC (the modes that have grass, shadows, details, etc). Unfortunately the game is not optimized for PC at all. I get massive stutters, hitches, and frame drops if I play on anything except for performance mode.
I wish i could go back to last season. Chains of hades look like a skill based weapon compared to this

Has anyone else been shot while they are driving by a guy in the passenger seat with an AR directly into the head killing almost instantly prior the car blowing up? This happens to me all the time, but I never see it covered in any tip videos? Feels like they are cheating! I can't figure out how they are doing it.
I have done it before, so what you want to do is have a car body with a windshield that's massive so you can shoot their feet or legs it is not possible on some car bodys.

They kinda ruined the game by adding car attachments, fists, and now magneto. Game isn’t even enjoyable Fortnite just needs to get rid of them and never un vault . Go back to skillful use of weapons and gameplay.

I do a lot besides game. I have a 2 year old child who is my pride and joy, a wife I've been with for 18 years, action sports, laser cutting and engraving, woodworking, videography, design, and a lot more. The support a creator code is something you use in the item shop and it kicks a small % of the purchase to me.

The tl;dr of this season is that it's just not very good. I've played winning squads and losing squads and the common feature has been the game is zero-skill and really boring. Sitting this one out, as I did when they flooded the map and put f'ken sharks everywhere - they lost me for two years after that.
