amazing playing from everyone. corey killing it as usual. his playing on Christian Scott's latest "stretch music" LP is fantastic. everyone should also check out Butcher Brown a group out of Richmond he is apart of if you enjoy funk / hip hop vibes. Devonne Harris (DJ Harrison) plays keys in that band and they're super tight.
Reginaldo Shinkai Christian Scott is the trumpet player/band leader. His albums (and Corey's playing on them) are incredible pieces. I would highly recommend him to anyone that enjoys jazz.
This really reminds me of Pink Floyd please is anyone else with me lol........I wish I could jam with you guys what amazing music what have we been sleeping on! This band and drummer need more attention!
I love VF! So many great pairs! And his Paiste Masters rides sound fantastic! I grabbed 2 last year and am super happy with them. Sit inside the mix of any band situation.. Perfect for Jazz and RnB. Awesome stuff!
Upon transcribing some of this, I realized you cant hear the hi hat most of the time. That sorta bummed me out. Why don't a lot of modern recordings include much of the noise people are making acoustically into the digital track?
So smooth, so effortless. And, Christian Scott’s pieces don’t have easy rhythms! Learning a lot from you, Cory! Thanks for your playing.
Can we appreciate all the artists in the video? Cory is insane, but Elena Pinderhughes' flute solo was truly unreal
indeed we can, brother.
it was real, man. Bolieve that
Thats right Josef!
The phaser effect on that ride is so rad
Flanger**
@@SteveHubbardGuitar Thank ya bro!

great materials !
that ride sound so beast
The snare too.
Saw them in London , outstanding. Absolutely incredible.
Some times you need rivets, sometimes you need to change sticks. Sometimes perfection is achievable, as it was here..

loved the flute
Just, WOW.
This guy's got it man
Awesome!
Yeah Corey!!
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Is there a phase/panning effect on his cymbals? Unreal playing
Michael McCabe - It sounds like a flanger to me, but stereo overheads might cause a similar sound as the cymbal tilts with playing.
Nah, it's a phaser.
so rad
came to ask the same. unreal playing too, very inspiring
I'd bet it's bleed coming into Christian's trumpet mic since he is using a phaser on his trumpet.
That distortion at the end!
holly nice sound yeah
Miles would approve.
Miles would steal him.
You mean Pat Metheny ?
I thought the music was REALLY Metheny's inspired, or also Aaron Park's kind of vibe, Metheny so...
Oh my.
whewwwww
I bet PAISTE are happy their logos are so evident
god that trumpet is pretty
what is that mic on the snare?
conjuring so many ghost notes..
You can hear Jack D i the way he ghosts on the snare, killer Tony as well.
The drumset is haunted!
sure would like to know what camera was used!
Hey Kenny - all GoPros in this video!
PHENOMENAL PLAYING AND CAMERA WORK!
