    This is the kind of review people need not a sales pitch. Your home is beautiful and it's obvious that you have pride in keeping it that way. I'd like to see some hacks on DIY cleaning fluid for the floors (vinegar and water) spot-treating dried stuff with 409 and if it foams up the tank. Some ideas for your already great reviews. Keep up the great work Michelle.

Do you use the Bissell cleaning solution for the cross wave?

  • @Derekryan456

    The cordless crosswave is definitely alot easier to move around. But too get a even better clean you need to go alot slower with the crosswave in doing so you will easily run out off battery if you have large floor area. I went for the corded Crosswave pet pro. Constant power as with the cordless you be losing full power.
    The cordless be handy just to grab it and quick going over. But for a deep clean I recommend going corded.

    I actually FINALLY bought a crosswave pet Pro on HSN for $200 waited awhile for it to come down, plus it has some extra mop heads and soap or something with it and I loved your video but I think that water was dirty from that mop I think you were actually putting more dirt down on your floor with the regular mop then you were picking up, that's the problem with mops. And of course you have to sweep first because mobs don't pick up all that nasty extra stuff hoping that this will definitely work haven't gotten it yet. I actually bought mine for the floors AND THE AREA RUGS.
    I realize that this was a timed video on cleaning I personally don't think cleanup time actually mattered just cleaning the floors would have been good enough but do you use yours on your area rugs as well? and how well does that work?

    Hi Michelle, great videos and presentation.
    From what I can gather, you've had yours for about 10 months. Do you still like it now as when you first got it.
    I've been looking at the reviews and only 67% were 4 and 5 stars. I'd like to get one but worried about spending $399 and it turns out to be a flop.
    The main complaint seems to be sucking up the water; however, you seemed to have no problem.
    Thanks for the video.!!!

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Ski, I still really enjoy using my Crosswave. I typically use my Crosswave on my hardwood floors and tiles to clean dog fur and daily floor debris. I'm an owner of two dogs (my Frenchie sheds like crazy) and it really speeds up the floor cleaning time being able to vacuum and mop at the same time. I do not usually have large messes or spills to clean up around the house with my Crosswave but I have a video where I clean tough floor messes you can check out to see how it preforms. If I over saturate the roller with water during the cleaning process, I can be left with water spots but this can be resolved by switching out with a new roller or pressing the trigger less frequently as i'm cleaning. I do not use the Crosswave on my rugs very frequently. I recently purchased the rug roller and will be reviewing it in the next few weeks. The only issue I have experienced is with the battery which resulted in the Crosswave not working and I had to get a replacement. It seems the issue is leaving the Crosswave on the docking station plugged in which caused the battery to overcharge. After contacting Bissell they sent a replacement at no cost. Now, I unplug the docking station after the Crosswave is fully charged just to be safe and to avoid the issue repeating itself. Be sure to sign up for the warranty. I hope this helped. Thank you so much for watching.

    I have been trying to decide about purchasing the cordless or not and found your review. I am a leg amputee and I use an iWalk crutch I strap on my thigh so I can get around for short periods of time although I can't bend it. I can't afford a prosthetic and the iwalk gets tangled up in the vacuum cord...I end up on the floor occasionally. My spine is deteriorated so mopping is truly a chore. Money is very tight on disability so this decision is crucial. I have a bunch of cats and 2 big dogs various roommates left behind so keeping the house clean is necessary and difficult.
    You helped me decide to get the Bissell for which I can make 5 payments from Amazon, no credit check or interest and less than the Bissell website right now.
    You did the work in less time and had a cleaner floor...I made my decision! I have rheumatoid arthritis too and my hands are often very swollen and painful so twisting the mop is not something I will miss.

    I would not include the time it takes to remove objects, move, and replace since the performance of each process of manual vs vacuum doesn't influence the rate and energy you place in doing the physical work of moving items.

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The time moving the objects was very minimal and can be shaved off the final time for each method. I wanted to share my start to finish process. If I make a re-do I will definitely be sharing with everyone.

    • @michaelreyes2301
      @michaelreyes2301 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MesseswithMichelle I mean I get it but it doesn't impact how long it takes to clean a floor with a vacuum and mop vs a duo system. The issue of moving items should not impact the opinion of the performance/outcome of each method. Perhaps when you moved the items the first time around, you had more energy and used more muscle power and speed than you did the second time performing the task, hence a difference in time between each method. There are many variables that may negatively impact an item's reputation altogether while presenting a false representation of an item's productivity outcome.

      @@amylo2544 Hi Amy, I would suggest the Crosswave for a house with mostly hardwood floors. It will wash and vacuum at the same time. The Crosswave can be used on area rugs but it only refreshes and doesn't do a deep cleaning like the proheat. The proheat can only be used to clean carpets. Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed the video :)

      Why didn't you vacuum your carpets ??

      1ma1ya1 I was focusing on both methods on hard floors for the comparison.

    Why does the water light keep coming on

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The light turns on around the roller every time I press the trigger to indicate when water is being released onto the floor.

      Don't use vinegar, that will actually dull the finish on the floor.

      @@Monipenny1000 i would never use vinegar, I can’t even stand the smell.. 😩 but I found a way. I use some Murphy soap for hardwood floors. I put one two small drops in the water along with oxi clean and they look great now!

    The reason the bissell water looks dirtier is because it uses less water and the dirt is more concentrated.

      I have to rate the sound medium. Compared to my Dyson the Bissell is quieter.

    Let me know in the comments what type of cleaning method you prefer to clean your floors?

    • @TheRpr2009
      @TheRpr2009 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      does it leaves streak marks on tiled floor.
      does it pick up pets hair.

      What type of cleaning method do I prefer? I think I have tried them all. Hasn't everybody? All of them fall short in one area or another and that is why everybody keeps looking and buying new things. I ended up buying a robotvac with the autoempty and a robotmop and I will tell you that it was fun that it was vacuuming while I was away, but it really sucked at cleaning area rugs to the point that I kept picking it up and putting it in front of the lint on the rugs and eventually, I was picking up the lint and eventually, I went back to the Shark liftaway, which cleaned the lint on the rug in 15 seconds and I gave away the robotvac because I would keep running it over and over and over again trying to get that one rug clean and it still hadn't cleaned it after using it 5 times in 2 days.

    Do you clean your mop and bucket in the kitchen sink?😳
    Use the toilet to dump dirty water. Refill the bucket from the bathtub and wring out the mop a time or two. Empty in toilet every time. Please?

    • @MesseswithMichelle
      @MesseswithMichelle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dump the dirty water in the toilet now. I ended up throwing away the mop it was a pain to clean. If I buy another mop in future I’m going to make sure the mop head can be tossed in the washer.

    I must be the only person who doesn't like the crosswave. I'm returning it today, actually. Too expensive for me to be left with subpar results. I prefer the results from vacuum and Spinwave. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      I haven’t tried the Spinwave. Do you find it scrubs the floor better?

    • @davidtomlins9759
      @davidtomlins9759 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ive used the spinwave it does scrub more vigourusly but leaves the floor just as wet as normal mopping. The scrubbing leaves a lot of loosened dirt on the floor so you have to vacuum again as well definitely prefer the crosswave. I only wish they would provide a stiffer carpet brush instead of that extremely soft red carpet brush attatchment. But the multi purpose mophead does a great job on hardfloors mats & runners though. Im using the corded version not tried cordless yet. 25 mins run time with 4 hours charging sounds very insufficent for the amount of cleaning i do

    This is very deceiving because you didn’t actually clean up a real mess. I purchased this vacuum because of these videos making it seem amazing. If you clean up, for example, when my dogs come in with muddy paws, it just pushes the dirt around. Terrible product for busy households and people that work.
