Good stuff. I'm a wheelchair user so I'm supposed to go to a raised platform at the back. But I got in early so parked myself at the barrier. I got a speech from security along the lines of on-my-head-be-it if I need to get out when it gets busy. Fair enough! I am stoked that I got to see them so intimately. I don't usually get that sort of opportunity with any band now.
It's so weird how everyone looks like a zombie staring at something happening through a cell phone screen. I don't get the desire to want to capture something in the present permanently.
Homer, don't worry not everyone gets everything. I personally filmed this clip at the end of a fantastic gig, I've watched it back many many times myself because it gives me the same feeling as being there again. After watching it as much as I have I'm struggling to spot any zombies in the crowd behind me? I just see a big gathering of fans smiling and chanting along with the sax, some even filming with their phones to capture the moment and possibly share it with other friends and fans that couldn't be there to feel the moment. It's a shame you didn't get it though.
Decent response, the end was a bit pretentious though. This is the way the world is turning, if it can't be captured on a phone then the moment never matters. Cool video on your part, but I guess I'm part of that generation that grew up living in the moment instead of needing a dose of vanity to let other people know "you were there".
I do find phone ubiquity a bit annoying but I shant complain about it here for fear of the irony bus running us all over. I'm certainly glad this video was filmed.
