I wish there were more SUV options for emerald renters. When I worked at Nat/Ent/Alamo at midway right before covid, we provided renters with a much better variety.
Great question. As of now it’s still shuttle bus. The new rental car facility and train won’t be ready until next year at the earliest. Here are directions: LAX Walking Directions - Plane to Car Rental Centers - Los Angeles International Airport th-cam.com/video/6bhDdR4iUnM/w-d-xo.html
Do think if I wrote a special request for a Durango HEMI V8 when I book with Alamo I'd get it? I'll be in LA in July for 3 weeks and I really want a V8 .. coming from small displacement europe a V8 would be awesome.
Bonjour monsieur je suis français Je vais en vacances à Los Angeles dans quelques jours Je voulais savoir si alamo loue des mini Cooper convertibles ou des BMW série 2 convertibles merci bonne journée cordialement
Hello, Kevin! If I select the rental for an Infiniti QX80 (luxury category) and later want to change to a Range Rover for example (mid size luxury category), is it possible?
I would not recommend to pick a QX80. It is in the same class as an Escalade, but is actually not better or more luxurious than a Tahoe, or Ford Expediotin which are large SUV class (cheaper).
@@gbrendo You picked the right class, Luxury SUV would get you cars like an Escalade or a Lincoln Navigator, but most of the times you get stuck with a Infiniti QX80. Most rental companies has put the QX80 in the luxury SUV section, but it should be in the same class as a Tahoe, Expedition, Wagoneer or a Yukon, which is in the (slightly) cheaper Large SUV section. In fact, I would prefer any of those over a QX80, since they are less thirsty and slightly more comfortable to drive, although a QX80 is still a very good ride I must say and by no means a bad car, it's great fun. But you will overpay if you get one as a luxury SUV. Premium SUV class will get you a Suburban or an Expedition XL, which are exactly the same (trim level) as the Large SUV, but one size bigger.
@@arjen9104 Thank you so much!! Now it's easier to understand. Furthermore, on sites like enterprise and national, luxury SUVs cost even more than mid size (X5, velar) and full size (X7, RR sport, macan) luxury suv's. When picking up the car, could I select one of them having paid the Luxury SUV fare?

No, the longer the videos the better, especially if you come across any Camaro's!
National is the Cadillac of rental car companies.
The have the best customer service and fleet, I couldn't have said it better myself. I'll have to remember this!

I remember those days before Covid and hope eventually things get back to that.
What is the route from airport arrival to this rental place? Shuttle bus service?

You should do enterprise Lax it’s been a few weeks
Thanks for mentioning it. I’ll try to publish an enterprise update there this week.
I’ve never rented from National. I have rented from sister companies Enterprise and Alamo.
Thanks for sharing
