unlike with dyeing to get a specific colorway, the beauty of a blending fiber this way is that it draws the eyes in with all the flecks of colors still being visible. if i squint a bit at the end, it looks like you're holding a tiny Bob Ross painting of 'happy Autumn trees' in your palms. that made me smile.
