"Only one guy rebuilt slave cylinders, and he died"
That sounds like an actual car talk punch line

What a treat to see Ray Magliozzi traveling and having fun. The editing of the video is poor, but the audio portion ... is even worse!

A real shop run by real people at a time when parts are hard to possible come by and people putting real skills to work along with ideals like building a mechanical clutch system.
Hats off to all those who work so hard at times in life

Such a joy to find ..sending love and light to Ray and gratitude for car talk as it is what I listen to at night to help me quiet my mind and try for sleep in anxious times ..maybe I’ll learn things through subliminal car talks 💋

This brought back so many cool memories from my Cuban Granpa and dad, who were both master mechanics. I had a great time as a kid in Hialeah in the 70's, following them around the shop..Thanks for the vid...

Okay, yes, the audio isn't great but you have to remember... they're in Cuba... Ray is the only one there wearing a mic and it would sound a whole if they tried cutting and balancing the audio for each person's comment from the one channel that they have.

It isn't that hard to rebuild a clutch slave cylinder. A basic rebuild would just be to replace a few standard o-rings. IF there's pitting inside in the area where the seals travel, then it probably isn't rebuildable, but to just throw it out and go with a cable system to avoid the "complication" of changing a few o-rings seems silly.
