ya know is better, it suits how its simply something said at the end of a sentence in an OCD manner, which was meant to connect Naruto to his mom, YOU SIR NEED TO READ THE MANGA OR JUST GET OFF ENGLISH DUBS. pleb.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I heard the reason why they dubbed it in English for him to say “believe it” was because they didn’t know how to translated the phrase from Japanese to English! But now I know that datteba is an actual thing! Thank you for letting us know :D
So it’s like saying “you know” Like for example: “I’m gonna be the Hokage you know !” Or “I love ramen you know!” Which I actually prefer over “believe it” bc no one actually says that in real life It would sound WAY too cringey and cheesy ! 😬 People DO sometimes say “you know” though or “As you know…”
I learned something new! I love Naruto and one of my favorite anime regardless. Thank you Matsu Sama!
Of course glad you liked the video!
wow makes sense as an orphan he demands to be heard
An orphan that was also ignored by his village 🥲
Believe it! > You Know!

Nice explanation!
I started looking into this after episode 246 because you-know-who [trying to avoid spoilers] says "ya know"

So its like how some people say things like, "ya herd me" or "na mean" at the end of everything they say.
THANK YOU~!
