Hi the Fx plugin Shows up in the plugin manager but not in the mixer list of plugins.. do you have any idea how to fix this. And is it possible that when it shows up in the manager and then putting in the code that it will show up? Thanks
I tried using your method here, as well as altering the method and rescanning, but to no avail. Some of the base ones that come with FL arent even showing up for me even after this. I mean, they show up in the list, but when I go to add them to a mixer track it stays blank as though I haven't tried to add an effect. Take Stereo Enhancer as an example. I selected a mixer track for an instrument, went into the mixer, picked the Insert I was using, added Fruity Reverb 2, Soundgoodizer, then went to add Stereo Shaper and nothing. Ugh! Just got the urge to write again after a 5yr block and I have this crap happen! I guess I will save everything and reinstall FL to see if that helps. I just hate doing that because Massive always fights with me when I try to install it.

In my case, panflow will show up when I scan for plugins but not in the add menu even after I favorited it. The only other plugin I downloaded is Vital and it shows up without problem.
My problem is that FL will only show favorited plugins in the picker and drop-down menu, I don't know what setting I accidentally turned on for it to behave like this. It seems to be my windows user profile that has this problem and my other user accounts don't have plugins behave like this.
Just icase if anyone has the problem where your plugins won't show up and the add option shows only loading plugin list..... Then just follow this : Goto options -> Manage Plugins -> Find more plugins It should start scanning for plugins. Once done just click the star on all the plugins and go back And click on add -> refresh plugin list Thats it! All your plugins should appear. Like if it worked for you :)
honestly the answer is search your system or pay attention when installing things if you want them to be in a specific place. Or reinstall them an do that.
im trying to install sensual saxophone and literally everything scans besides it. I have installed so many different plugins and I have done this the same way but it just doesn't scan for it for some reason. I have the file selected for the plugin search too
Thanks for the tut! Can you tell me how to find the plugin dock that is supposed to appear on the right side of the mixer when you select each individual channel on the channel rack? That whole dock keeps randomly disappearing on me in the middle of a project. Super annoying.
settings on the mixer itself, I have the plugins show up on each channel (large ish display so this is viable) Second general settings "limit to window" or something similar to that, stop things leaving the frame of FL to never return. If you have dual display though you will need to leave it on.

Its that menu underneath where it says "Mixer Insert-1" on the right of the mixer where it has that list of plugin slots (Slot 1, Slot 2 etc) and "Equalizer" at the bottom. All that's what disappears. Basically, when I have this problem, the only thing that appears is Master channel and all inserts with no plugin menu on the right. Each time I have to reset FL default to get it back. Wondering if there's another way to fix.

Fl Studio can't find STRIIIINGS. The dll and blob files are in the right locations. Edit: It installed to C:\ProgramFiles\Steinberg\VSTPlugins. Just for the heck of it I copied the DLL to C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\VST2 and FL Studio found it.

Some plugins are regarded as legacy and only there for backwards compatibility. This could be the reason. But I’m not 100%.

Quite possibly an admin permission issue. I cant guide you as ive not used windows since version 7 😬
Just icase if anyone has the problem where your plugins won't show up and the add option shows only loading plugin list..... Then just follow this :
Goto options -> Manage Plugins -> Find more plugins
It should start scanning for plugins. Once done just click the star on all the plugins and go back
And click on add -> refresh plugin list
Thats it! All your plugins should appear.

How do I change the files to .dll ? When I scan the files they are not recognized unless in .dll format
