- Newly Opened Singapore MRT Stations | Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4
The Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 (TEL4), a significant addition to Singapore’s MRT network, officially opened for passenger service on 23 June 20241. The opening ceremony was held at Marine Parade MRT station on 21 June 2024.
The TEL4 includes seven new stations: Tanjong Rhu, Katong Park, Tanjong Katong, Marine Terrace, Siglap, Bayshore, and Marine Parade. These stations were previewed to the public on 21 June 2024, with various games and activities organized within the stations.
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong highlighted that the opening of TEL4 will significantly improve connectivity for residents. He also mentioned that the rail network expansion will continue over the next decade with the opening of over 50 new MRT stations, including the new Jurong Region Line and Cross Island Line.
The TEL4 is expected to bring convenience to about 1 million commuters daily and relieve crowding on the East-West and North-South Lines. Commuters can look forward to a 35-minute journey from Woodlands South to Orchard on the TEL, compared to a 50-minute journey by bus and MRT today.
This development is a testament to Singapore’s commitment to enhancing its public transportation infrastructure and providing more efficient and convenient travel options for its residents.

I stay in marine terrace n the mrt is near to flat but find it a bit inconvenient hv to walk far away from the control station
Should put a signboard to which block since is near to the flat n is easier to find instead putting up numbers

The sequence of the video from west to eastbound got me a bit confused. I was looking for Siglap station and after the tour around Marine Parade Central, the video skipped and showed Bayshore station. After Bayshore station it reversed and showed Marine Terrace! ....why no clip on Siglap station? Siglap is one of the attractions along TEL line as it is is near a host of restaurants and bars lining the street (Publico, Fu Lin, Iza, Masalaa Bar, Blu Kouzina, Pasta Fresca, Springleaf Prata and many more)....I don't know which exits are near these haunts?
Sorry. I went from Tanjong Rhu to Marine Parade and follow by Bayshore. For going back, I skipped Siglap and Marine Parade and visited the rest.
The train at platform B will end at Tanjong Rhu

Better whoosh Bullet train Indonesia
Singapore does not need a bullet train as it is just a small island so MRT is good enough for Singapore.
