Oh wow. My very first car was a '71 Maverick with nearly the same exact color. I think it had a little 220 4-banger and 3 on the tree shifting. My grampa bought it brand spanking new then sold it to me for $100 in 1982. Hard to believe it was just ten years old. I loved that fugly thing. What year is that particular casting from? I'd love to find one online.

@@mtldiecastcafe collecting or obsession? Yeah I do feel that way when the stores get bought up in mass, then they are sold on auction for 10-15 times their orig worth. It's destroyed collecting as a hobby

We help each other with our collection and not necessarily sell them. It is the scarcity that we have here in our area that makes us get them while they last. Obsession is when you don't have control. What is your hobby, buddy?

Sorry you feel that way, but I have 4 close friends who collect, and that's how we build our collection by helping each other out.
