I listened to your teaching and from others. What I did not get from others, I got it from your teaching, very educative. I'm very ready to rear snails, how do I go from here, how much do I need to start not in large scale but in small scale. Where can I buy the snail in Ibadan. Thanks

Really great lecture, Kester. Keep up the good work. Am new and still experimenting on the right kind of soil as I observed eggs not hatching because soil seem too hard. Am trying other soils now and hoping to get it right soon. Once again thanks

Here in Ghana, we lean towards achatina achatina mostly cos it tastes a bit better than the marginata and if given time, achatina achatina can grow to a huge size that no marginata can match. Achatina achatina again have a bit harder meat than the marginata even though the latter have a bit harder shell. Lastly, conditions in Ghana favours the achatina achatina more than the marginata in terms of health. We eat both but the achatina achatina attracts high price since it takes much longer to mature than the marginata. Achatina achatina takes about a year and half to mature but the white tipped marginata in Ghana can mature within 6 months.

Hello Kestor thank you so much for such an informative video. I will be relocating to Ghana from USA and I want to start a small snail farm at home until I learn the business . I am grateful for everything you would teach on your channel. I subscribed. Thank you, thank you, thank you💕

Thank you so much for this very informative and clear teaching.
I just started a backyard snail farming from some 150 wild ones I picked from my landed property here I'm Abuja. I suspect(?) them to be Achatina Achatina or Achatina Fulica. The egg production within two months is incredible and mortality minimal for now.
I am beginning to be excited by these amazing creatures and for personal reasons also, I want to go deeper in this new found snail business. So will be getting in touch shortly.
For now sir, from your experience, which snail specie is best for slime production?
Thank you and God bless your good work.

Can one keep different species in the same green house since they don't cross breed?

Hello Professor I have a question. If we rear the snails in the greenhouse, you say we should feed them between 5-7 but with all those greenery are the nothing to eat whenever they feel like it? I am in class and eager to learn. Thank you professor 💕
