On the 2023 version it's touch until it reaches a certain speed over 10km/hr I think, then it must be controlled by the center console, so it might be the same for the 2024 version.

i own one since 2015. I was really hopping for a more futuristic look but it seems that they are really changing much. ill wait till they do a complete overhaul

I'll hang onto my 2008 Mazda 2 manual, that's just clicked over 200k. It's unbelievable that even after 15 years, the engine is still basically the same.
