- Rodin’s right, Rosa needs to chill..
This fight was almost perfect, I mistimed 2 dodges.. Alraune is actually incredibly easy if you use dual guns. You can just stunlock her with PKP and then Umbran Climax through the 2nd phase. The first phase is a pain in the ass with most weapons though.. Sometimes she randomly deflects or dodges into counterattacks. She can also jump out of range but the timing on most of her attacks are very similar.
She's definitely more aggressive but also more straightforward than Masked Lumen. He has a lot of attacks with wildly different timings and does more feint attacks to throw you off. If you're one of those people who can actually time dodges this fight isn't too bad.
It was never explained what beef Madama Butterfly has with Alraune, but one is a butterfly the other is a flower, you could probably deduce it was some demon squabble of Madam Butterfly asserting dominance or something.
Well,on that same butterfly/flower logic,it could've been a squabble over who was more beautiful
Tbh, I hope it was something really petty like Madama Butterfly being able to form a pact first b/f Alraune
We can maybe say that Madama Butterfly was the woman Alraune's husband left her for
Bayo 3 will very likely be a prequel, so we'll finally learn more about Cereza's pact with Madama Butterfly and all that birthmark stuff
I mean butterflies drink nectar from flowers n help them reproduce, so idk, if we're speculating maybe Alarune's an old ex of Ms Butterfly's
I never appreciated Bayonetta's design team for the bosses enough. I grew to love their power ranger villian-looking motif.

And Rosa does more damage but gets launched easier.
Summary of "true fight" Starting at 4:25 :
(Alraune swipes and misses Rosa once)
*Rosa pulls out magic robot and smashes Alraune so hard in the face that she falls over, then Rosa unmounts Robot and proceeds to RIP OUT HALF OF HER CHEST using her BARE HANDS in about 5 seconds*
(Alraune painfully gets up and takes a desperate swing at Rosa, which again misses)
*Rosa once again pulls out Magic Robot of Doom and tramples the Inferno out of Alraune AGAIN, and proceeds to rip out the rest of her chest using her bare hands AGAIN*
(Alraune cannot even get up from the ground as her chest is bleeding profusely)
*Rosa summons Magic Robot of Death a third time and starts literally curbstomping Alraune until she finally dies*
(Time: ~50 seconds)
TL;DR do not mess with Umbran Witches because they are confirmed deadlier than Hell itself D:

I've always wandered: why do demons speak Enochian just like angels? Well, according to the Christian Bible, all demons are fallen angels that rebelled against God and got exiled from Heaven as punishment.
If you think about the lore of Bayonetta's world, the only difference between Angels and Demons is which side of the Trinity they are affiliated with. So yeah, it makes sense that Demons too speak Enochian

It's because Rosa does triple damage but takes triple the damage made by enemys, shes high risk high reward

Rosa does extra damage with literally everything and the swipe you do after attacking Tiger Form or slamming enemies into walls do a ton of damage. She's kind of like Bayonetta where Wicked Weaves are a small fraction of your damage. (Bayonetta continues firing Scarborough Fair while dodging and can dodge cancel earlier while still getting some shots off. They also actually do higher DPS in Umbran Climax than Rosa does.). I'm mostly spamming PKP just for the wall slams and quick double shots on the kick and second punch.
Jeanne gets a lot more off Wicked Weaves so it's better to save up your magic and go for combos with two Wicked Weave finishers but Bayonetta and Rosa are all about panther/tiger strikes, held attacks, and wall slams. Scarborough Fair and the Shuraba are amazing on Bayonetta because most of their damage comes from just holding the attack button.
Because she's 'sealed' rather than killed in the end, I'm really hoping that this isn't the last we see of Alraune. I want that filthy bitch back in Bayonetta 3. In fact, considering how the games have messed about so much with the passages of time, her fate at the end of Bayonetta 2 is probably irrelevant!

this fight just proves that bayo2 boss fights are horrendously unplayable on infinite climax, just like balder, alraune will dodge almost every weaked weave and spam you with random attacks. no juggling possible, pure plat walkthroughs look unstylish etc.
I think it can be easy done with that artifact that let's you use witch time whenever you want
